Call Of Cthulhu Shows Us The Depths Of Madness We Will Go To

Call Of Cthulhu

A new trailer for Call Of Cthulhu has released and we get to see how far Pierce, Call Of Cthulhu's protagonist, will dive into madness

Here we go with yet another interesting trailer for the upcoming Call Of Cthulhu game coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime this year. We've had a few good viewings of the game so far but here we get to see the level of madness that Cyanide Studios is crafting for us here in the game as well as a bit more of the story we will help unfold. Not only that, but as Call Of Cthulhu's character generally go insane no matter the medium you play it in, we also get to see what I am guessing is some of harsher stuff that the game's protagonist will go through as he investigates the weirdness going on in the game's world. Weirdness or madness, either one really works here for all of this.

Have a look at the new trailer here and just see what I am talking about here for Call Of Cthulhu. There is a bit of story mixed into it all here as well but seeing as it is still pretty vague at this stage, there really isn't much to dive in and look at. Although there are some pretty amazing Lovecraft inspired visuals and creatures to see here as well. Do enjoy…

Call Of Cthulhu — Depths Of Madness

Developed by seasoned Cyanide Studios, Call Of Cthulhu for consoles and PC is an RPG-Investigation game blending psychological horror and stealth mechanics, in a deeply immersive world with an oppressive atmosphere. Today ushers in a new trailer, depicting protagonist Pierce’s submersion into the depths of madness, as he investigates a mysterious death on Darkwater Island, Boston.

A Private Detective, Edward Pierce is a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family on a backwater island. Pierce is used to trusting his instincts, but with whale mutilations and disappearing bodies, this is only the beginning as reality becomes skewed. As your investigation leads you closer to the sphere of influence of the Great Dreamer, you will start to doubt everything you see. You will have to find balance between your own sanity, and your determination in finding out what lurks in the shadows - as they say that madness is the only way that can bring you to the truth.

On a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family on a backwater island, the player will soon uncover a more disturbing truth as the Great Dreamer, Cthulhu, prepares its awakening…

With each new video for Call Of Cthulhu the game looks better and better and like it will be a true story into horror and madness that the franchise really should be. Even though we see it here in the latest trailer, it looks like Cyanide Studios is even going to be able to do it without the need to go into the crazy gore levels for the cheap shocks and thrills. I could be wrong but the way I am seeing everything here, it looks like they are hitting Call Of Cthulhu perfectly on the head and my only true hope is that they also do a few things with the insanity to mess with the players as well as the game's characters. At least more than visuals and reversing controller schemes. Just a hope though.

How do you feel about the latest Call Of Cthulhu trailer that we have here for you? Do you think it is shaping to be just like the tabletop games that we all played or have there been a few liberties taken with it all? Do you think the madness will stem out further than just the visuals for the game and how the character reacts? Let us know everything going on in that brain now down in the comments. As more for Call Of Cthulhu is shown to us, we will have it here on the site for you. Be sure to keep checking in here for all of it in hopefully short order. At least that is the hope…
