Resident Evil 7
Some new, possible, details for Resident Evil 7 may have emerged out of the most recent Resident Evil 7 demo to hit the PC
Some new details for Resident Evil 7 may have just been found hidden the most recent PC demo that released earlier this week and some of it all points to some solid story tidbits, possible DLC, and who we might see as a final boss in the game. Of course none of this is confirmed by Capcom as it still falls into that whole rumor category but if it is true it could mean that we will see how it fits into the overall Resident Evil world. That and Resident Evil 7 would be getting a card game and a whole chapter of the game based around just puzzles and horror instead of all of the other stuff that we will see get mixed in.
I have specifically left out the name and other details that might be coming to Resident Evil 7 to give you an extra chance to stop reading. If all of this is true then some of it could be rather spoilery for those who don't want to know what goes on. In fact, I left out more of the spoiler stuff below but if you really need to know then you can click the link down there as well. Spoiler alert done.
So if you are still here, it looks like the main boss will be someone named Albert as all of the function names and variables found point to. The most famous of the RE Alberts being Wesker of course. That would be the direction that many readers over on the other sites have gone with and it seems like a solid thought. Even though we've not heard word of him in Resident Evil 7 and seeing as the game deviates from the higher action he was placed it, that and the events of RE5, then this could all just placeholder or the name of some other Albert we have yet to meet. Anything is possible I guess but having Wesker show up would place what looks to be an amazing title right back into the middle of one of my favorite franchises. It would also give us a better timeline of things.
Resident Evil 7 demo data-mined *MAJOR SPOILERS REVEALED & UNMARKED*
First DLC content revealed
Details on the first DLC for RE7, the 'four short stories' DLC (not the 2 campaign chapter DLCs). Seems to be a collection of minigame type things. No info in the data about the two later DLCs (probably as they haven't started development yet).
- DLC 1-1: A puzzle-focused gameplay chapter where it seems you answer riddles and other types of puzzles. Almost seems entirely puzzle focused.
- DLC 1-2: A card game? Apparently some card game you can play either in a story mode way or an endless mode with some type of reward you get. Specifics not clear, but includes mechanics like bluff, and some sort of in-game droppable based on your performance.
- DLC 1-3: Wave-Based Survival Mode. seems to have multiple stages, and 10 waves for each map.
- DLC 1-4: A proper miniature story chapter with you in a place with Lucas it seems. Also seems to have three endings based on something you do in this chapter.

It's also interesting to note that the supposed DLC listed for Resident Evil 7 looks to point to a new Survival mode which doesn't seem fitting to the feel we've seen so far. That and it looks like we could have multiple different endings. The latter there being something that we have been able to see in the demo already and not too shocking. Unless it is force to be only in the DLC portions of the game and not Resident Evil 7 proper. Again though, this is all speculation based on files from the most recent demo so none of it could be true or just taken the way some may hope it to go. Have a look for yourself and make your own decisions though…
What are your thoughts on all of this information for Resident Evil 7 that we may actually have? Do you think it holds merit and we will see Wesker in the final game or could it all just be placeholder stuff and the hopes of fans? What about the DLC and bringing Survival Mode to the after game? Let us know your thought son all of this and more down in the comments. As more on Resident Evil 7 comes to light, be it from Capcom or others, we will have it here for you.
