A new gameplay feature for Conan Exiles has released to show us just how to survive in the harsh world Conan Exiles is going to bring us soon
Surviving is one of the cornerstones of Conan Exiles as we've heard from day one of the announcement. To not have it in there would be really weird given the Conan franchise and universe that has been built around all of this harsh stuff. Funcom has already done a great job with the universe in the past so it makes perfect sense that they would keep it going and now we get to see just how. All in a nice new video that has been placed out there to show us just how we will survive in Conan Exiles. Not just the harsh world for ourselves, but also our own little slice of the pie that we will get to set up if we are cunning and strong enough to do so. This is Conan after all and things can't be easy for us at all.
As was to be expected, we will have to do the normal survival stuff for our character in Conan Exiles. We'll have to hunt, explore for water, build our own shelters, and all the other things that would keep a human alive in this world. After all of that though, it looks like we will have to move to keeping our own settlements surviving by kidnapping and enslaving other humans to do the grunt work we don't want to do. Or to cover us on some of the aspects of the game that we can't do on our own. You know, like keep our own sanity in this messed up land or to preach a religion as we will most likely be a silent protagonist. All to keep your people in control while you are away doing whatever you plan on doing; be it in game or in the real world.
Yes, Conan Exiles will keep running even when you log out and other players can attack you during this time. I'm not sure if we will get notifications outside of the game to let us know this is happening but at least we can stack the deck with our slaves and other warriors to try and fend off the enemies. Even though that may not always work and you could log back into a destroyed settlement as a godly avatar was called down instead. Yes, those are in there to attack you too. Or protect you if you set up your settlement the right way in Conan Exiles and keep the faith. Now to see if there is a great way to break the balance or if Funcom is going to get it all right just before the Early Access on the PC this coming January. I guess we'll wait and see…
