King's Quest
The fifth episode of King's Quest has been given a date and it looks like we'll be wrapping King's Quest before the end of October now
It may have taken quite a bit of time to get the fourth episode of King's Quest out to us but it looks like The Odd Gentlemen have kicked up the game and now we are seeing the fifth and final episode here in under a month. Yes, we will be seeing this episode on October 25th for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Just in time for all of those King's Quest costumes for Halloween to be a bit more relevant for those who have been following along with the Sierra Entertainment reboot to the franchise. At least if that is what you are planning on doing for fun. I'm not sure that I know many people who are planning that but I digress…
While the full story of this episode of King's Quest has yet to be fully detailed it does look like we are going to see some events of Old Man Graham in the episode. That and we will get to start to question the memory of the character who has been telling us the whole story as well. He has been getting older in each story so it makes sense but it does seem odd for us to have to question if this was an old man reminiscing with his grandchildren or the ramblings of an old mad king. Maybe this is why the story in general has been all over the place as of late, but we'll have to wait to find out I guess. Thankfully not too long for those answers though.
Sierra Entertainment has announced that King's Quest – Chapter 5: The Good Knight, the exciting finale of the new King's Quest series developed by The Odd Gentlemen, is expected to release worldwide on Oct. 25 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC via Steam. King's Quest – Chapter 5: The Good Knight looks back on King Graham, now an old man even in flashbacks, preparing to go on one last adventure for the kingdom he loves. But as his health deteriorates, can Graham’s memories still be trusted?
"Watching King Graham grow up through each chapter has been surreal for our team, as we ourselves have grown as game developers and humans right beside him," said Matt Korba, President and Creative Director of The Odd Gentlemen. "It's a rare opportunity to be able to cover the lifetime of a character in one series of a video game, and as we approach the end, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the final pages of this vision of King Graham's journey.”
Are you as surprised as I am that we will be seeing this next episode of King's Quest so soon? Do you think that the recent weird storytelling in the game has been an allusion to Graham's memory and sanity in the game as he heads toward his death bed? Do you think that this will leave on a cliffhanger and thus require us to pick up the epilogue episode after all is said and done? Let us know your thoughts in the comments and discuss. As more on King's Quest comes out you'll want to stick right here as we will have it all for you. Don't go away…
