Batman: The Telltale Series
The first batch of screenshots for Batman: The Telltale Series have been released and we get a good look at the bad guys that Batman will be taking on
Next week the story continues for Batman: The Telltale Series as the second episode will be released for us all. Not only that but this week also marks the time when you can pick up the physical disc version of Telltale Games' latest story game. Of course that will be only a Season Pass disc for Batman: The Telltale Series and not all five episodes but it will give you a chance to have a physical disc for the game as you wait for the rest of the episodes to flow out like all of the other digital gamers out there who are giving the game a go on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One or PC.
To go along with all of this and the upcoming episode for next week, we have some new screenshots for Batman to have a look at the chaos that will be coming. It is all linked into Arkham somehow given the name but since we've run into a few of the new-ish villains already it makes sense that it was coming up soon. I know the big question will be if the Joker will be making an appearance or not but for now we get to see a few of the other baddies we'll be fighting in the new episode. It looks like the Penguin is making a hard push somehow here.
It also looks like there will be some stronger flashbacks for the story being told here for Batman again. Or at least that would be the assumption by the lone gunman looking like he is mugging someone. Of course that could be something completely different as Telltale Games is taking a new twist on the franchise and has done well so far. I know I am not looking for yet another telling of Batman's origin story. I guess we'll see on September 20th.
The Telltale Series is now available to purchase at retailers for a MSRP of $29.99 USD or equivalent in North America as a special “Season Pass Disc,” which includes the first of five episodes in the season, and grants access to the subsequent four episodes as they become available for download via online updates. The series will also be available to purchase at retailers across Europe beginning Sept. 16. Available platforms in both North America and Europe include Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. Also coming this month, the highly-anticipated Episode Two: Children of Arkham will be available to download on consoles and PC starting Sept. 20.
What do you think of the new screens we have for Batman: The Telltale Series here? Do you think that we're going to see the same old origin story as always or will it be left out of this game? For that matter, do you think that we'll see more of the lesser villains or will they go back to the big bads again? Let us know your thoughts and discuss in the comments below. For more on all things Batman stay right here as we'll keep bring you more as it all comes. It looks like it will be on the regular.
