Memories & Zombies Are Dug Up In Rise Of The Tomb Raider

Tomb Raider

A trailer for the next Rise Of The Tomb Raider DLC has been revealed as well as many other additions coming to this Tomb Raider title to fuel the nightmares

As we get closer to the release date for Rise Of The Tomb Raider on the PS4 we also need to remember that we are getting closer to the release of all that extra DLC for the game on the Xbox One and PC too. Of course Crystal Dynamics is only bringing the VR support to the PS4 version of one of the bits of DLC but until now we've only scene glimpses of it all. Sadly, it looks like Square Enix is having its time in the night with zombies as one of the bits of DLC we are getting will be bringing them to Tomb Raider for us to kill in a horde-like mode in the basement of Croft Manor. When will we all be over zombies and look to make something new?

Anyways, we have a new trailer and description for all of the DLC coming to all of the platforms for Rise Of The Tomb Raider on October 11th. Remember the previously released stuff will be coming to the PS4 version at launch and the rest will be coming via the Season Pass you already picked up or will be getting sometime before the launch of it all. It is worth noting that there will be some new skins mixed in outside of the new story bits and modes for the game. One of which being inspired from the extremely classic version of Tomb Raider some of us grew up with. Ah, the retro feel is coming again…

Rise Of The Tomb Raider — Blood Ties DLC

Rise Of The Tomb Raider — DLC

Players were able to glimpse Lara’s manor during a cinematic in the main campaign, but will now be able to fully explore Lara’s childhood home as part of the new “Blood Ties” DLC, which features over an hour of new story. In it, Lara must reclaim her legacy and prove that she is the rightful heir in the wake of her father’s death. “Blood Ties” also includes “Lara’s Nightmare” mode in which hordes of the undead overrun her childhood home. Test your zombie-killing skills in this replayable mode, featuring a haunted Croft Manor filled with new challenges as you fight to rid the Manor of an evil presence.

And that’s not all – we’ve expanded “Endurance Mode” to include co-op support that will let you and a friend raid tombs in the harsh wilderness together for the very first time. Two players must team up to survive the harsh elements by day, as well as lethal threats from enemies by night. Fire takes fuel, food restores health, and every resource must be hunted, collected, or crafted. Battle to the top of the leaderboards, as others try to beat your longest survival run. We’ve also added an “Extreme Survivor’ difficulty that will test the most seasoned Tomb Raider players! Checkpoints are confined to basecamps and supplies are limited – only the smart and resourceful will survive. Last but not least, we’ve added five classic Lara Croft skins as well as a reimagined outfit inspired by Tomb Raider III.
