Gwent: The Witcher Card Game's Closed Beta Has Been Delayed But Dated

Gwent

The closed beta date for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has been pushed off from the original timeline but now we have a solid date for Gwent's closed beta now

I hope you weren't sitting around waiting to find out the specific date in September you might be able to give Gwent: The Witcher Card Game a play. If you were then you are going to be let down or left wanting as CD Projekt RED has just stated that they are going to have to delay the closed beta of the game and, most likely, the final release as well. At least it is safe to assume that the full release of Gwent will also be hit with the same delay as I am sure they are going to want to make sure they can get as much testing in before it goes to market; especially based on their reasons for the delay.

The good news here though is that it looks like we are going to get to play this version of Gwent on October 25th now. Before we never had a solid release date but now we do even though it is pushed out almost a month later. All to make certain that the version that we get to beta test is descent enough for us and in turn something that is easy to build off for the final build. At least that would be my assumption on these things but from the official announcement below that seems like the case. I guess we'll find out as we get closer to October 25th now. Hurry up and wait now.

At E3 we announced that we’d launch the Closed Beta of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game in September. Unfortunately, we feel we need some extra time with the game before we hand it off to you for testing. We know we can make a first impression only once, and want to be sure everything is ready before we blast off. Delivering a good game is more important to us than keeping a deadline. Still, that doesn’t mean we don’t realize that delays can be disappointing, and we apologize for making you wait. Closed Beta will now begin on October 25th.

How heartbroken are you that Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has now been pushed back in its beta form? Do you agree that this will be pushing the full release out as well or will we just be getting a truncated testing period? Are you just glad to have a specific date now as to when to expect to give the game a test or try? Let us know your thoughts and feelings down in the comments. For more on Gwent as the updates flow be sure to stay right here as we'll have it all. At least as all as they are willing to shell out to us in a timely manner.
