Paragon
The beta for Paragon is opening up to all who want to give the game a try and help shape Paragon into a better game next week…for a limited time
If you already dropped the cash to be a founder for Paragon then this update really isn't for you as you've already been enjoying the closed beta most likely. For those holding out for when the game launches or becomes free-to-play completely from Epic Games then you may like this. As it turns out there is more testing required for Paragon needed and the flood gates are opening up to everyone who owns a PC or PS4 and wants to take it all for a spin. An open-ish beta is coming…
Starting next week on May 26th anyone who wants to play Paragon and test everything out will have the chance to. At least until May 30th when the access will be taken away from any of those who have not picked up Founder's Pack by then. Or you can wait until June 7th for the retail version to hit and hop into the game in a closer to completed stage. If you can wait after giving the game a play though. That is what I assume is going on here besides just testing and updating.
Paragon — Free Beta Weekend
I still find it very odd that Epic Games is having players pay up front for a game that will inevitably be free to play though. I get that they want the funding to make sure Paragon is up to the standards that we will hold them too but wouldn't a lot of these "founders" feel a bit cheated later on as floods of new players come in at no charge? Does the illusion built here to hide the micro-transactions truly work? It would seem so as there are more people joining the fight almost every day now.
Are you a hold out for the free version of Paragon? Will you be hopping in for the free weekend or are you going to wait until everything is said and done? Are you currently a founder and put off that the game will be offering up the same experiences for free here soon? Let us know and discuss in the comments below. For all things Paragon keep yourself logged in right here. We'll bring you more as we get more.
