More Friday The 13th: The Game Counselors & How To Keep Them Alive

Friday The 13th

A new update for Friday The 13th: The Game has been released showing off two new Friday The 13th counselor types & how vehicles can be used to survive

We still don't have any new gameplay for Friday The 13th: The Game that looks near where hopefully the upcoming beta will be but we do have a whole lot of new updates on more of the ins and outs of the mechanics. Illfonic is still hard at work getting everything to the place that Gun Media is looking to have it but they need to keep the fans and backers happy so we'll just have to do with more of the little updates. At least this time we have more on a bit of the mechanics on how to survive Jason's onslaught and a look at two more Friday The 13th stereotype counselors we will be taking the role of in the game matches.

First up we have another basic video showing off how vehicles are going to be used during a match in Friday The 13th. Basic meaning we have another narrated animatic that shows how it all works. As it looks, counselors will need to find parts to fix the vehicle, then one of them will have to repair the vehicle, and then also have the keys to start said vehicle. All of this while hoping they don't get murdered by Jason in the process. Seems like a lot of work and trouble to be of any real use to me but that is about how it all looks like it is going to go here.

I am curious to see if vehicles are always going to be broken by default in Friday The 13th: The Game or if some will just be "good to go." I know in the original proposal during the Summer Camp days it was stated that the Killer/Jason would be able to disable things like this to hinder escape. I wonder if this is just one scenario now. Also if the mechanic who fixes the vehicle will be able to hot-wire the vehicle after repair if they don't have the keys. It would be in the realm of their capabilities but these are questions that only Illfonic will be able to answer I guess.

Friday The 13th: The Game — Vehicles

Moving right along we have two more counselor types also here for Friday The 13th: The Game. Well more one type and then one outright named. We have "The Bookish Girl," who sounds pretty much like the "virgin" type from all of the horror movie tropes. Then we have Head Counselor Kenny Riedell who sounds just as the name implies; and with me secretly hoping that the last name is an Easter egg for those House Of 1000 Corpses/Devil's Rejects fans in the mix. Wishful thinking on my part I am certain but Gun Media does have a lot of the horror world family in the mix so it just could be.

Friday The 13th: The Game — The Bookish Girl

Studious and small, she's very intelligence and uses her tiny stature and light step to sneak around, staying out of view from Jason.

Friday The 13th: The Game — Head Counselor Kenny Riedell

He's smart, organized and a natural leader who oozes charisma. He can keep himself composed in even the most dire of situations which makes him someone you want to be around when Jason is nearby.

Outside of all of this there were a bunch of other minor and technical updates for Friday The 13th: The Game. The developers have been so kind to keep giving us the constant updates in a nice video manner. If you are interested in seeing everything else that wasn't listed above you can have a nice look at the latest developer update just below and then sit back and wait for more on Friday The 13th: The Game.
