The multiplayer beta for DOOM is opening up to the public here soon and we have details on the DOOM post launch content; both free and paid
If you were feeling left out because of the closed nature of DOOM's most recent multiplayer beta then you can stuff that in a sack. It looks like id Software needs more testing for the multiplayer aspect of the game and now Bethesda is going to open it up to you. By you I mean anyone who so chooses to load up DOOM on their PS4, Xbox One, or PC and partake in the open beta that is going on from April 15th to the 17th. Not a huge range but I am sure it will get the game where they all want it.
This isn't going to be a lesser version of the closed beta either as it looks like all of the aspects shown off there for DOOM will be here as well. That would be the two different modes and the two different maps with all of the accouterments we could come to expect. Even in this small slice of the full game's version of the multiplayer. Remember that DOOM will use that SnapMap feature that was announced to allow us all to make up our own modes and maps to share to the world. Now if only that was going to be in this test we would all be in for a huge treat.
On top of the open beta for DOOM it looks like Bethesda is also ready to start showing off all of the post launch content that we will be getting for the game. Of course there will be the usual updates and patches to fix anything we all find wrong with the game but id Software will also be crafting some new content using the SnapMap functionality to share to us all. That and they will keep updating it with more objects and features for us to craft just as well as they do. Or at least close to the pros as we can.
As they are also in the business of making money there is also a Season Pass of DLC being offered up for DOOM. This pass will include three full DLC packs over the rest of the year and will set you back an extra $39.99 USD. You can pick up each on their own for $14.99 USD if you so choose with the first pack coming out some time after DOOM launches. Here's a taste of what you can get when that batch comes out.

- One new armor set
- One new piece of equipment
- New hack modules and taunts
- New customization colors and patterns
