The release date for Minecraft: Story Mode's fifth episode has been revealed as well as where we can see this Minecraft franchise go in the near future
After the events of Minecraft: Story Mode's last episode it was easy to think that there wasn't much else to do or go to in the story here. Telltale Games did kind of wrap up the really big issue and conflict in episode four but they also did promise that they were going to bring us a fifth episode for the story based around Mojang's IP. They are a company of their word and now we have the fifth episode of Minecraft: Story Mode's first season coming at us on March 29th now for all of the game's platforms.
There is no real word on where Jesse and the crew are going but we will see it all next week in Order Up. This episode sounds like the whole crew just opted to go get some shawarma and chill after killing the Witherstorm and all of the other insanity they had to go through more than anything but based on the below screenshots for the episode it doesn't look that way. Unless this is all their epic adventure to get to some mythical restaurant in the Minecraft universe. I've never heard of one but stranger things have happened in this story so we can just go with it.
If you think this is the end of Minecraft: Story Mode out of Telltale you would be wrong as well. A second season has yet to be announced for it all but in a weird twist it looks like season one is turning into an eight episode affair. We are getting three more episodes after the one we have on March 29th. It is a huge deviation from what is normally done from the developer but I am guessing that somehow the story here has expanded well beyond the traditional five episodes. These will all be treated as add-ons so you will need to have owned Minecraft: Story Mode from episode one to at least be able to purchase them on their own.
