Red Dead Redemption 2
Rumors about Red Dead Redemption 2 being in production have popped up again and claim we could hear about Red Dead Redemption 2 being official at E3
Here we are six years after the first title launched and we have more Red Dead Redemption 2 rumors popping up. In fact it is pretty much the same rumor we had last year that Rockstar Games never let pan out but yet again we are seeing we are seeing it. Just like before rumor has it that we will get an announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2 at E3 this year with a release on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC for some time in 2017. With the number of Take-Two Interactive titles you'd think there would be someone trying to step up and spin it in some direction but there isn't.
This current rumor comes from an email that was sent to Fraghero where the sender claims to have an inside scoop from an ex-Rockstar employee. They go on to claim that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been in the works for the last four years and that they are building up for the official announcement at E3 where they will also let loose the news that Red Dead Redemption is also getting an HD remaster for the PS4 and Xbox One as well. That remake being slated to be released sometime before the end of 2016 to get us all ready again for Red Dead Redemption 2 when/if it is actually on the way.
Fraghero received an email from a reader who wishes to remain anonymous claiming that the game has been in development for over 4 years and is in fact called Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends Of The West.
He also claimed that the game will be coming out in the fall of 2017 and Rockstar Games is going to announce it during E3 (which takes place in June) this year. He informed us that the game is going to contain more than one playable character and feature a much bigger open world than the last Red Dead title.
It is worth noting that Rockstar Games has stated that the Red Dead franchise wasn't to be a one-off and they do plan on continuing it but to that note this is pretty much the same rumor from 2015. It's been altered a bit but it is still pretty much the same thing so take all of this with a grain of sand and don't be too shocked if Red Dead Redemption 2 goes down the same path of Final Fantasy VII Remake and it stays rumor for a while until finally time and effort are put in to make it real. Or we could all be surprised this June and then again by the end of the year. Who knows?
Are you excited to hear this rumor for Red Dead Redemption 2 or are you going to hold back until an official announcement? Does all of the claimed information make sense given the current state of the industry or is it just another spin on the wishful thinking? What do you think would be in Red Dead Redemption 2 if it does all pan out are claimed? Let us know and discuss away in the comments. We will be following this rumor until it is proven or disproved so be sure to stick around so you can see it pan out as well.
