Hellblade

Hellblade has a new name as we are introduced to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and also shown how the dev team is making a virtual human in the gameplay

It looks like we have a new name to settle on for Hellblade as it looks like a subtitle is going to extend it out just a bit further with Senua's Sacrifice. If I had to make an educated guess I'd say this is all based on Ninja Theory finally figuring out exactly where the story of the game is going and what we can expect when it finally hits the PS4 and PC sometime this year. Another great sign as I know I have been excited for Hellblade to come out since I saw the first bit that they ended up scrapping to improve upon.

Of course there is much more than the name change to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice going on here as well. At least that is in the terms of a new trailer. You can't have something like this just kind of fly under the radar when everyone is clamoring to see more and more for the game. That all said, we have a nice new trailer for the game to give you a feeling as to what is going to be "sacrificed" in Hellblade by Senua. My bet is on her sanity but it also looks like a love story so who knows?

Impressive wasn't that? It looks like Ninja Theory has truly stepped up their game here but would you be shocked to find out that not everything is as it seems here? Like if I told you that the above performance wasn't some greatly crafted animation for Hellblade but actually a real time rendering of the motion capture performance with little to no touch ups?

Well it was and now it is time to have your mind blown as you can see how this whole scene was crafted and performed for capture. It looks like those mad scientists hooked up with other mad scientists and crafted a system that could fully digitize the performers into the game world and then capture all of their real world performances live so there was no in-between time or alterations. This is why the above trailer for Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, at least for me, looked so realistic in terms of the character as it was pretty much the actress in the game.
