Homefront
The big collector's edition for Homefront: The Revolution has been revealed and it comes with a drone inspired by Homefront that you can use at home
The release of Homefront: The Revolution is still a ways out as it is still set from May 17th and you still may be on the fence about picking up a copy. It happens and that usually leads publishers like Deep Silver to throw together some great bonus editions of their games like they have here with the Goliath Edition for the next entry into the Homefront franchise. It really looks like the way that we are going to want to play Dambuster Studios' creation as it will let us take some of the action off the screen and into our homes.
Of course we are not going to want to have to fight the insurgency at home but with this new edition that has been announced we will be able to have a fully functional replica of the Goliath Drone from Homefront: The Revolution to drive around as we please. It won't have all of the bells and whistles we will have in the game but at least we can drive it around with our own GoPro camera on board and get that real "in-game" feel in the physical world. That is what all of you want right? It has to be or they would have stopped making things like the Goliath Edition a while ago.
Currently there is no price listed for this edition of Homefront: The Revolution but I am sure it will be the same price as we see for collector's editions of the same level. Also don't think that this is the only added bonus for the increased price as there will be the traditional Art Book, Steelcase, and bonus DLC that will come along with the drone. Of course that will be the selling point here but it wouldn't be a "collector's edition" of sorts if it didn't have the usual suspects that always come along in them.
- A remote controlled replica of a "Goliath" Drone with real lights and six suspension. The Goliath drone manufactured by Apex is the most fearsome weapon in the anti-terrorist arsenal of KVA.
- An exclusive Steelbook case
- A 32-page artbook with concept art for resistance and the technologically advanced Apex weapons and vehicles
- The "Revolutionary Spirit Pack" DLC
- Red Skull motorbike skin
- Golden pistol skin for single-player
- The Marksman Rifle, Snoper Scope, and Remote Explosives for Resistance Mode
Does this version of Homefront: The Revolution make you want to shell out more cash or pre-order the game in general? How much do you think it will cost when all is said and done? Do you think that this is a good or a bad indication of how well Dambuster Studios has done for the game so far? Is it a true bonus or a distraction? Let us know what you think in the comments below. As with all of the games that Deep Silver brings out we will have more on Homefront and the others here as the news comes. Be sure to stick around so you can be as up to date as possible.
