Four New Fighters Joining The Mix With Mortal Kombat X's Kombat Pack 2

Mortal Kombat X

The Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 has been officially shown off and now we have a look at the new fighters joining Mortal Kombat X with the likes of Leatherface and Alien

The four characters making their way into Mortal Kombat X via the Kombat Pack 2 DLC have been announced and they are pretty amazing. It was teased by NetherRealm Studios that we would get to see "who's next" for Mortal Kombat X during The Game Awards last night and while we didn't get to see it during the show proper the new trailer showing off the new fighters was released. Now we get to look forward to Leatherface, a Xenomorph, Bo Rai Cho, and Tri-Borg for Mortal Kombat X sometime in 2016 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Yes, we will be able to have those epic Alien Vs Predator fights in Mortal Kombat X now. We can also see who will win between Jason and Leatherface, even though Freddy would have been a better choice. We can add in another fan favorite too that almost none of the casual Mortal Kombat fans will know who he is. Then you have the technically new character that will be more familiar than most will think in Mortal Kombat X: Tri-borg. Combine the best and worst of Cyrax, Sektor, and Robot Smoke into one character and you'll know what we are talking about here.

As of right now this is all of the information we have on Mortal Kombat X's Kombat Pack 2 and how the characters will interact. I have a feeling that Tri-borg will just use the different styles to allow us to play as each character by them-self. I am a bit confused on the Baraka blades for the Xenomorph; unless NetherRealm Studios is going the Hybrid route based on the sprouting from Baraka's chest. I ask why we just didn't get Baraka proper then but that might just be little extras for Mortal Kombat X as the game moves into its second year of life in 2016.

Mortal Kombat X — Kombat Pack 2

The new guest characters include Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror film series and the Xenomorph from the classic sci-fi horror film franchise Alien.

Additional characters include classic Mortal Kombat characters Bo Rai Cho, master of the drunken fist, and series favorites Cyrax, Sektor and Robot Smoke in the form of new Kombatant, Tri-Borg.

Were you able to call the new Mortal Kombat X fighters before this announcement? How do you feel about them? Are you going to wait to see them in action for Mortal Kombat X before you pass final judgment? Would you have preferred other Warner Bros. IPs to be added in here instead? Let us know in the comments and discuss away. As we get further information on Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 we will have it here for you. Knowing NetherRealm Studios I am sure we will have character breakdowns in short order so be sure to keep it locked in here for more on Mortal Kombat X.
