Black Ops 3
The heavily-rumored Nightmares mode for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 has been confirmed giving us another way to experience Black Ops 3
Looks like all of the rumors were true for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 as it looks like Nightmares mode is confirmed and in the build of the game; at least for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. How Treyarch and Activision were able to keep this secret so well until today, it is launch day for Black Ops 3, is still baffling but it leads to another great surprise as not only do we have a press release for it but a nice little trailer to show off on how this mode will play in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3's main campaign. Now you can see why it is not on the PS3 or Xbox 360 version right?
For those out of the loop here, Nightmares mode for Black Ops 3 is a new mode for the campaign that is unlocked by beating the main path. This mode lets you replay the whole Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 campaign again in a whole new way incorporating Zombies. I'm not sure if this means there will be narrative changes for this mode or if it will be more of Treyarch just replacing zombies with the regular NPC enemies in Black Ops 3 but as it is listed as a whole new game I know I am hoping for the latter there. Who wouldn't want a whole new campaign to play with a zombie story line and just recycled environments in Black Ops 3?
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 — Nightmares Campaign
Lastly, no Black Ops game would be complete without some surprises for the fans. Players that complete the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 campaign can access the heavily-rumored "Nightmares" mode, and play the campaign in an entirely new way, with Zombies! In addition, players who explore the Safe House could potentially gain access to the "Dead Ops Arcade" easter egg, a bonus mode sure to delight fans of the golden age of video games. These two pieces of bonus content are sure to keep fans entertained well beyond the studio's signature three-games-in-one offering, delivering the most robust Call Of Duty in franchise history with Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3. Nightmares campaign mode, Safe House, and Dead Ops Arcade available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC only.
How can we honestly not be excited about this little extra in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 here? The above trailer do make it look like it could be more than just character model replacement but it could be a bit longer before anyone has any true confirmation given that Black Ops 3 just release on the day of this writing and most reviewers nowadays won't go that deep into a game's campaign mode to get the full review. I guess well all have to wait and see now that Activision has let the cat out of the bag for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 here. Or more the zombie out of the test facility that we will most likely have to go clean up in the game.
What are your thoughts on Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3's newly revealed Nightmares mode? Do you think it will live up to the hype all the rumor mills generated? Will Treyarch have blown the minds of many of people looking to play Black Ops 3 not just for the multiplayer? How did they keep this hidden so long? Feel free to add your thoughts in the comments below and discuss away. Hopefully Activision has a few more little gems like this tucked away for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 and when they release those to the world we will have all the updates right here so be sure to stay tuned in.
