Friday The 13th
A new video for Friday The 13th: The Game has been let loose with the intent of showing off the environments of Friday The 13th's Camp Crystal Lake
We are heading into the final stretch of Friday The 13th: The Game getting its funding via the Kickstarter campaign it has. Just under $100K to go still and then Gun Media will be bringing us the basic version of Friday The 13th presumably without the bells and whistles in the stretch goals. All of this you should know and most likely expect to see Friday The 13th: The Game coming to a PS4, Xbox One, and PC near you sometime next year. Again I predict sometime around Halloween although May does have a Friday The 13th in the month and who could pass up that date to get the game out on?
Anyways, we had a few screenshots for Friday The 13th show up already to help entice so it is about time to see some actual in-game footage. Right? Of course it is and this is what the latest update for Friday The 13th: The Game is bringing us in the way of environmental fly-throughs for Camp Crystal Lake. This is one of the more iconic areas we can expect in the Friday The 13th game so it makes sense. Now you can see where you'll be running for your life or hunting down and killing everyone in this map, so to say. Either way we get to see some of the level built for the game.
Friday The 13th: The Game — Camp Crystal Lake Environment Fly-Throughs
I still find it odd that this late in the game we still barely have anything to really look at for Friday The 13th: The Game. We have a level and a few screenshots from in-game events but why have we not seen any gameplay matches even on a pre-alpha build. I only ask as technically Friday The 13th: The Game was in development for about a year now back when it was known only as Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp. Did Gun Media just trash all of the work from before to make Friday The 13th from the ground up? I was under the impression that this was they game they were making from day one and only recently received the blessing to go 100% Jason Voorhess. That is what their Kickstarter stated in the beginning here.
Either way we have another look at one of the levels we will get to experience somewhat in Friday The 13th: The Game if/when it finally gets made. I am sure no matter the success of the crowd funding here we will see this game in some fashion but I guess we can only guarantee it by making sure their Kickstarter is completely successful.
What are your thoughts on the new look of Friday The 13th: The Game? What other iconic locations would you like to see Gun Media add into the mix? A space level? A Manhattan level? Let us know and discuss in the comments below. There is only nine days left at the writing of this article here but we will keep bringing you more on Friday The 13th: The Game as it develops and/or they are fully funded. Keep checking in for more as we press right on with everything.
