Looks like the wait for Minecraft: Story Mode's second episode is over as it releases alongside the physical release of Minecraft: Story Mode

It seems like not that long ago that we all got a good taste of Minecraft: Story Mode as the first episode of the season was digitally released for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices. Wait… it wasn't that long ago and Telltale Games is now bringing us the second episode of Minecraft: Story Mode today. Well this week depending on which platform you are playing the game on but that doesn't get away from the fact that Minecraft: Story Mode has had one of the fastest turnaround times between episodes of any of the franchises the developer is working on.

Not to dwarf the fact that Minecraft: Story Mode's physical copy of the season pass is available this week too but it looks like they really want to get the Mojang IP out there and they did it very sneakily. Usually something you'd expect for something nefarious but in the case of Minecraft: Story Mode it is a welcomed thing even though it falls right in the middle of all of the other big titles and franchises coming to an end. I am speaking of the other Telltale Games franchises here and not any of the other ones you may be thinking of here.

If you read the review of Minecraft: Story Mode's first episode here then you may know that I wasn't a huge fan of the game so far. Hopefully the pacing is sped up a bit here and the story elements link together a little more organically than before. Given the short amount of time between them all I do not have high hopes as this most likely means it was done well before the first episode launched but we'll all just have to wait and see how Minecraft: Story Mode now. Here's hoping that the episode releases keep to this pattern and we don't have to wait months for the next.
