Delve Deeper Into The Psychological Thriller That Is The Park

The Park

A new video for The Park has been released and it delves deeper into what The Park is all about as well as shows off some of the first gameplay

With only a few weeks for The Park to still make its release window it needs to ramp up it game, so to speak, and give us a real feel as to what we will be getting here. I know this. You should know that. It looks like Funcom knows this as we have yet another video for The Park here to show off and it also happens to include a bit of gameplay mixed in. Looks like this psychological horror title still could be on the mark for some time before Halloween here and PC gamers will be experiencing The Park sometime before that. Kind of odd that a solid date is still not set but I'm sure it is coming.

So what is The Park?

According to the following video it is a rundown amusement park that was shut down in the 80's. Weird stuff happened in The Park and for some reason the mother/protagonist of the game is their looking for her missing son. All of this we already know from Funcom's original announcement though. We just kind of get to see it in action now as well as get a nice description of how the "action button" will have us calling out for our son in The Park the inflection, tone, and volume will change based on where we are in the game and what is going on.

The Park — What Is It?

While the character models and environments of The Park look a bit dated it does look like it could be a great title in the end of it all. It is a bit concerning that Funcom is saying that it is no longer than an hour or two to complete though. I have a feeling that we are going to see some awesome things in The Park and then be left wondering why the game has ended when all is said and done though. Just like all of the other titles listed in the above video that are used in comparison to The Park. All great stories that ended just when I wanted more.

Do you think The Park is going to be worth the time here? Is two hours of gameplay something that can really sell in today's market? Do you think Funcom should have spent more time working on The Park to make it a longer game, or experience as they call it, or will it be just perfect? Let us know what you think down in the comments. There will have to be updates for The Park here soon and when there are, we will have them here for you. Keep checking back so you are completely up to date on The Park.
