Battleborn

We have our first real look at Battleborn's villain, Lothar Rendain, in the most recent game trailer for Battleborn and he explains how your butt theatrics won't save you

Every good story game needs a great villain to overcome. Battleborn isn't a story game but a multiplayer online battle-arena game but it looks like it too is getting a badass villain to help force the badasses of Battleborn focus on why they are shooting it out. Also in what seems to be Gearbox's MO it looks like these "badasses" of Battleborn will be using said asses to add more butt jokes to the overwhelming number that is already in 2K Games' library. They all sure do like their butt jokes…

Putting all that behinds us, pun intended, we have a new look at the villain of Battleborn named Lothar Rendain. It looks like he is the one who is behind the darkness that is snuffing out the stars and forcing all of the characters in Battleborn to step up. Not to mention that he looks like a weird space vampire to boot so I am guessing that may be why Lothar is going to the extent that he is in Battleborn and giving us all more reasons to be aimlessly killing each other in the game. As if we needed a reason to shoot each other.

If nothing else we do get a good look at more of the tone that Battleborn will have when it finally hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 9^th next year and that is always fun. That is what Battleborn is aiming for isn't it? It still isn't a weird take on the action that Nevada had during the civil war that has been filtered through the eyes of Gearbox has it? I'm sure it hasn't. If it has though I am claiming the role of Lothar in Battleborn's new history lesson.
