It looks like Minecraft: Story Mode isn't only letting us choose our own story paths but also how our hero of Minecraft looks and sounds…with new screenshots
While all of those lucking gamers are attending PAX will be getting a chance to play with a beta build of Minecraft: Story Mode it looks like the rest of us are not being left out in the lurch with nothing to go one but word of mouth. Telltale wouldn't do that to us. And in fact they haven't as they have dropped a few new screenshots on us from Minecraft: Story Mode as well as a little nugget that is a first in the developer's history here for their foray into the Mojang franchise. It looks like we will be able to not only choose the path we go down in Minecraft: Story Mode's story but also the hero that we are playing as in the game. Yea…take that Minecraft fans.
Not only is Telltale letting us choose what the hero looks like here for Minecraft but also they are giving us a different voice actor depending on the gender we choose to play as in the game. I'm not sure if there will be anything other than just appearance based events based on if you are male or female or white or not-so-white but at least you can make Minecraft: Story Mode a bit more to your needs than just what they have given by default. I guess it does fit a bit more into the Minecraft feel if you can make your Jesse look and sound custom just for you. We all need that feeling don't we?
Today we can announce that Minecraft: Story Mode will be the first Telltale game series to feature a player character where YOU choose their appearance. Players will be able to select from several different options for both male and female versions of our hero Jesse.
The season will feature Patton Oswalt as male Jesse, Catherine Taber as female Jesse, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Billy West, and Paul Reubens. Look for further casting details to come!
Now that you get the option to choose your own hero in Minecraft: Story Mode how do you feel about that? Will the lazy you take over and just choose the default version of Jesse or will you go all out and completely change the character as much as Telltale will let you? Do you think this will be a better fir for the Minecraft franchise based on what Mojang has already set up in the universe? Let us know your thoughts and feeling down in the comments and discuss. I am also sure that we will have even more out of PAX here as players get their first real look at Minecraft: Story Mode so be sure to keep checking in here for more on the game as it hits the public space.
