I know I've wanted to see Evie Frye in action for Assassin's Creed Syndicate since she was first announced as a playable character so long ago. Haven't you? Hopefully you have as that is what we have right here for you. Ubisoft has finally given us all some Assassin's Creed Syndicate gameplay that features this female assassin in action. Not only that but it looks like we also get a good look at how Assassin's Creed Syndicate is going to be taking up the "360 philosophy" as the developer coined. This would be the ability to keep tackling missions in Assassin's Creed Syndicate from any angle and from multiple paths to get the job done. Simpler still; play as you want.
So we will have that again here in Assassin's Creed Syndicate. What Evie also seems to bring is a very stealth focused gameplay and extra abilities to aid in just that. I am not sure if this is only made to look the way in Assassin's Creed Syndicate but she gains a Predator-like cloak if she stays still for a while and she also gets an area-of-effect taser of sorts. Seems like high-tech gear for the era of Assassin's Creed Syndicate but this could just be how it is handled via gameplay and visually with different descriptions in terms of continuity. At least I am certainly hoping that is the case and not some weird upgraded skill from the future.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate — Evie Gameplay
Let's place all of that aside though as the above video does show off how different of a character Evie will be in Assassin's Creed Syndicate from her brother Jacob. They get the same job done only her focus is considerably more on the stealth and ghost side of the fence. Ghost being the not being seen variety of gameplay for Assassin's Creed Syndicate and not the beings walking around after Evie and Jacob have their run of the city. That would be a completely different game although one I would be interested in playing given what I am now building in my head based on that. Thanks Assassin's Creed Syndicate for that…
I am also digging the fact that there are truly different paths we can take here in Assassin's Creed Syndicate to get the job done and they all look to feel completely different. Two of the above options were pretty much "sneak in" only one was a Parkour and stealth kill kind of thing while the other lets us actually use a "talk our way in" kind of tactic. This makes perfect sense for the franchise and I love seeing it in action here with Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Glad to see Ubisoft adding that in here after so many iterations of the franchise already.
Enough on what I think though, what do you think here? Are you glad to see Evie in action for the full first time here in Assassin's Creed Syndicate? Do you think it will bog down the narrative of the game having two protagonists? What about the weird high-tech looking items that she has to employ here in Assassin's Creed Syndicate? Let us know down in the comments and discuss. We are only so far out from Assassin's Creed Syndicate being launched but I am sure that Ubisoft will have plenty more for us so be sure to keep checking back for more things Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
