Have Some Girl On Girl Action In Mortal Kombat X With Tanya

It's been another month since we got our last new character for Mortal Kombat X in the way of Jason Voohees. Now we get our next bit of DLC in the way of Tanya for the game. We all knew she was coming at some point from the Kombat Pack but now we get our first look at the character in action. It also kind of shows that NetherRealm is looking to bring each new character DLC out with about a month of time in between. I could have seen that coming and sadly that most likely means we won't be seeing Predator for at least another month now. But let's go back to Tanya for Mortal Kombat X now.

First up as we have always been getting for Mortal Kombat X is the character trailer that gives us just a little bit background and insight into the character herself. Tanya of course made her debut in Mortal Kombat 4 so it has been a bit of time since we saw her in full action. None the less here we go with Tanya for Mortal Kombat X which will be available on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game tomorrow (6/2/15). Have a look at the new character now.

Mortal Kombat X — Tanya DLC

So there you have Tanya with a lot of girl on girl killing action for Mortal Kombat X. What would a new character release be without a whole Kombat Kast dedicated to Tanya and her variations? She does have a lot of teleporting and zoning capabilities here in MKX so she starts off as an extremely versatile character to play with but here is a quick break down of each of her variations as well as a look at how they work. She does look to be another amazing addition that I am sure we would all have wanted in Mortal Kombat X from day one.

Tanya

  • Pyromancer — Gains Dark Shroud, Low Fireball, and High Fireball
  • Kobu Jutsu — Gains Tonfa Toss, Blade Dive, and attacks utilizing her Tonfas
  • Dragon Naginata — Gains Staff Stance, Swing Kick, and attacks utilizing her Staff

Alright, so after seeing Tanya in action for Mortal Kombat X I kind of want to add on the descriptor of annoying with the teleport options allowed here. Much like Scorpion has become in the franchise. Maybe this is just how I see her in Mortal Kombat X. Hopefully that will only be a fleeting thought from me given what we have been shown so far and nothing to what we will all actually experience. Doubtful but I can hope NetherRealm has tried to combat that, pun intended, when all is said and done.

What do you think of Tanya for Mortal Kombat X here? Amazing addition to the roster or another dreaded multiplayer troll character? Are you even set up to get Tanya for Mortal Kombat X or will you be skipping this DLC? Let us know down in the comments below.
