Looks like the wait for The Evil Within's next bit of story DLC, titled The Consequence, isn't going to be too far off for all of those who have played The Assignment and want to know what happens next. This would all be the story DLC for The Evil Within that focuses around Juli Kidman's character from the core story of the game. Either way, we can all rest assured now that if you have a season pass or want to by a la cart, we will be seeing The Consequence DLC for The Evil Within on April 21st for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. At least in North America. European PlayStation owners will have to wait until April 22nd.
Bethesda and Tango Gameworks didn't want to spoil any of the story of the DLC in case some of us are still behind on The Evil Within and any of the DLC to date but they have given us a nice little look at The Consequence just a little below. I do mean little and I am pretty sure it is mostly spoiler free. I have yet to be able to dig into the DLC for The Evil Within so I can't be 100% as of yet. Just take the warning.
The Evil Within: The Consequence — Gameplay Teaser
So far all of the DLC for The Evil Within has looked considerably creepier than the core game. I am not sure why but then again this could just be the masterful people over at Bethesda knowing how to cut a trailer and dish out some cool gameplay. I may have to get back into all things The Evil Within once the early review season slows down and I can get back into hashing out the back log. If that will ever happen as the gaming industry is an every changing mess like the minds of the enemies in The Evil Within. Like what I did there?
