Dying Light has been out and the tires have been kicked a bit more by the gaming community. Techland has addressed a few issues and are even trying to help the modding community with altering the game further for the PC. Not for those pesky PS4 and Xbox One players though but that is the troubles console players have to take. All of that said, that means it is DLC SEASON for Dying Light now that the developers can focus more there instead of on patching the game. Woo Hoo! Let's all do the zombie dance as we wait to see what the Season Pass for Dying Light is going to bring us.
Ok, well one part of the $20 Season Pass for Dying Light has been released already for those early adopters. We still have two more bits as well as all of the free DLC that we are going to get thrown at us as the cycle for Dying Light doesn't look to be ending until at least May of this year. At least in terms of major DLC for Dying Light and the Season pass. In fact it looks like we may have more as time comes on in way of free DLC as even now it has been announced that free skins for the game and a "hard mode" are in the works for Dying Light as you are reading this.
Here's what you are going to get for that paid Season Pass for Dying Light.
- Cuisine & Cargo (February 10th) — Available exclusively as a part of the Season Pass offer, these two hardcore missions let players investigate buildings sealed off in the very first days of the outbreak. Explore the ominous corridors of once the most famous restaurant in Harran, and employ both stealth and combat to ransack a zombie-filled loading bay at the abandoned railroad yard.
- Ultimate Survivor Bundle (March) — Players will receive seven unique in-game items that will bring fighting zombies to a whole new level. Grab three special outfits and four blueprints for over-the-top weapons to make your adventure in the quarantine zone even more fun.
- The Bozak Horde (May) — The final Season Pass drop will deliver a new map and gameplay, playable in single-player and co-op. Go inside the Harran Stadium and test your combat know-how against relentless hordes of the Infected. Fight increasingly stronger enemy waves as you oppose a mysterious psychopath called Bozak.
So there is all the paid stuff for Dying Light but wasn't there some kind of special mode that let us be the zombie? Oh yea, that would be the free "we're sorry for the delay" DLC that everyone is getting. In fact, if you want to see that all in motion you can check out the new trailer for the mode if you have not already dug in and tried to perfect the art of hunting and killing people as they try to enjoy Dying Light on their own.
Dying Light — Night Hunter Evolved
Not a bad spread for Dying Light coming our way. It's been a while that a non-war title has brought us a good chunk of DLC both paid and free hasn't it? I don't know. Either way we are getting it and we should just be happy to keep on killing zombies or humans with Dying Light for at least a few months to come.
