Wander — The Non-Combat Based MMO For The PC & PS4

That's right we have a non-combat based MMO title coming soon called Wander. It is all about the exploration and story here and it looks like it could fill a niche that has yet to be tapped in the MMO genre. I have a feeling that you all are flipping your lids in one direction or the other here for Wander now and wondering how this will all work when it launches in March for the PC and PS4. Good thing you have me.

So in Wander you will assume the role of a random creature, an Oren for starters, and travel the lands exploring and figuring things out. The Oren would be a walking sentient tree in the world of Wander. From there you will learn how to transform into other forms to better get around the world as well as learn the lore and stories of each other race. Races like the Griffin, a bird race which will let you fly, and the Azertash, an aquatic race whom will let you go underwater with free reign.

I'll say that I think Wander is going to be a huge gamble for the developer here but at least someone is trying something new. Wander looks like it could be a beautiful and amazing experience but in a sea of violent and combat based titles out there I think it will be a hard sale to many hardcore MMO players out there. Although for me, as Wander removes one of the things that bugs me about MMOs, it has great potential to become my MMO of choice since so many have fallen flat for me in the years past.

If you want to see more for Wander then you are also in luck. Below we have the Twitch Broadcast that the developers will be hosting here at 4pm PST (11/19/14) where they will take us through the game and show us why it is such an amazing title. If that isn't good enough for us all then also note that Wander will be on the floor for the PlayStation Experience here in a few weeks. If you are heading to that you can maybe hop into a play through of Wander with me to better understand everything the game has to offer.
