We still have not heard Hyde nor hair of a new monster yet for Evolve but I think that is going to come after we get through all the new hunters for the game. We are down to one more, maybe, as we have our new Medic for the game named Caira. That leaves one more Assault and then hopefully a new monster. Of course these are all the hunter characters that we should have when Evolve launches next year (2/10/15) on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Enough of all of that though. Let's dig into the new hunter Caira and what she will be bringing to Evolve.

From the base description of her, she is a Medic who also likes to be right in the mix of the action and has the ability to do all of that. First off she is the only Medic so far in Evolve that can selfheal while in the deep mix of the action. This lends into the fact that Caira has a grenade launcher that can fire napalm grenades as well as healing grenades. As it is described in the following video if she isn't constantly firing a grenade then you are player the new medic wrong.

After watching Caira in action for Evolve I am a bit torn on if she is well balanced or too powerful. We won't know for sure until we all have Evolve in hand and can take her for a full turn against the monster. Although they do take down the Goliath here in quick order. I don't think I've seen a match as fast as this one appeared to be to date. This could also be video editing chicanery as is usually the case when it comes to hyping up a game. Only the players and devs know for sure.

If nothing else though, Caira does make the Medic class not look like the worst to be assigned in Evolve anymore. I've played as the other two in the past and I couldn't wait until the match was over so I could move to any other class. Caira at least looks like she will be fun for those who have assault on the mind but NEED to play medic for the team.
