We're so close to having Dragon Age: Inquisition to experience and alter the game's world to our whims. That is what a good Dragon Age game is all about right? Being able to change and alter the game's world and narrative as some kind of overseeing god? Did you not know that was part of Dragon Age: Inquisition? I hope so as you are reading on the topic right now and would most likely be lost by now or by watching the below trailer showing off how all of you choices will affect Dragon Age: Inquisition.
That was a really roundabout way to get on the topic at hand wasn't it? None the less we have another look at the gameplay for Dragon Age: Inquisition and how every choice from character race to if you are going to execute and enemy of the Inquisition will alter the game's world. Not just the game's world but your active party members and their feelings toward you as you rampage through the game. Although it does sound like all of you looking forward for very specific relationships in Dragon Age: Inquisition may be a bit out.
Dragon Age: Inquisition — Choice & Consequence
I love that there are going to be game changing ramifications in Dragon Age: Inquisition based on things as minute as character race. I am a bit curious though if there will be even more minor things like if you make a choice that upsets the Healer of the group that the AI will go out of their way to not heal you because they are still irked. It happens in Pathfinder and D & D all the time for tabletop games so it would be cool to see these kinds of mechanics to translate over. Unfortunately it looks like it will be an all-out loss to the party instead of individual repercussions.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will be out on November 18th on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC so we will see how far the choices go in the game. If they go as deep as I hope I will be overly impressed but I am not going to hold my breath as that is kind of a deeper structure that we should be able to expect at this point in game. Game being the process and not Dragon Age: Inquisition directly of course.
