If you thought that the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice was cramming in an obscene amount of characters then you just have not been keeping up with LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. It really does seem the DC way now-a-days to cram as many of their IPs into one product and see which hits home with fans so they can then exploit that one. Then again it is no strange news that we are up there with TT Games' LEGO Batman 3 as that was kind of the goal without changing the game's title to be LEGO DC Universe or LEGO Justice League. I guess LEGO Batman 3 has a better ring to it.
All of that said, we have a new developer diary to show off from Warner Bros. and TT Games that showcases even more characters for LEGO Batman 3 as well as a bit of the overall story of the game. Yes there is going to be story and not just one cameo after another. I just hope that there are explanations for Polka Dot Man and Condiment King being in the game but still no sign of Dogwelder. That is a character I've been asking for in almost any DC Comics based game for years now. Give us the whole gamut already…
Outside of the new characters for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham we also have a look at how TT Games has been able to alter and play with a few things in the DCU in regards to team-ups. Mostly, I am guessing, all to do with the main villain of Brainiac who almost always causes the heroes of Earth to band with the villains to get things under control again. We'll know for sure next week as LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham launches on November 11th for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, 3DS, Wii U, iOS, and PC platforms. EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED! Almost sounds like Marvel's "Everything Is Connected" tagline huh?
