Katarina Vignette is a ranged death dealing machine and the third ally to be announced. Trained in the ways of nomads, she uses Guns, Magic and a black hound to pretty much eviscerate her enemies. The 10^th legion did well when they recruited her. Expect some awesome pistol play, and some very cool shotgun animations, which are really highlighted in the following video.

Color me impressed. With every video that comes out the game just keeps looking better and more polished to me. Honestly thought the gunplay does look a little Devil May Cry inspired but not enough to turn me off from the game. Less crazy gunplay, more shots to the face!

I'm looking forward to seeing the final character ally that will be available; which should be just before launch. You can really see the Square Enix touch here with Katarina and I think it blends in nicely with the Dungeon Siege backdrop. Lucas was another character that seemed to be heavily Square Enix style inspired.

The last silhouette looks like it will be a healer of some sort but from what little I can see on the website the guy's got a hand like Hellboy. Keep an eye on the website for the final character release and don't forget to pre-order your copy so you can get access to two relics of power on release day.

Dungeon Siege III is slated for release on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 on 5/31/11
