It had been rumored since the before the official announcement of the God of War Compilation. The inclusion of the God of War III demo on disc with the first two games. Then the announcement came and there was no mention at all. In fact Sony wouldn't even comment on if it was going to be or not. Which left all of us God of War fans wondering if we would get an early play of the game, outside of going to a convention.
Well, today, it has been confirmed that the demo we've seen and played at E3, Comic Con, and PAX is totally going to be included on the game disc for the Compilation. A nice little bonus if I do say so. I mean, outside of the updated graphics and trophies for the PS2 games, this is another bonus to the franchise.
The only thing I wish was that it was going to be an updated demo of a different part of the game. I'll have played the Helios section of the game about 389 times before the games official launch in March of 2010. But I guess beggars can't be choosers. Look for the compilation to hit shelves in November.
From the PSBlog:
You have seen the videos and you have seen the screens, soon you will have the chance to play what the lucky hundreds experienced at E3, Comic-Con and PAX. Coming this fall, we are happy to announce to fans that God of War Collection will include the long-awaited God of War III E3 2009 Demo. Each copy of God of War Collection will include a voucher code that can be redeemed through PlayStation Network on the day of purchase. This is your chance to experience God of War III before it hits store shelves March 2010.
