Good Bye PSP Go!?

So with yesterday's rumor about the PSPGo! and having phone capabilities, it is kind of a surprise that there would be another rumor thrown out there to get everyone all a buzz with the PSP hardware. This time, it is actually about the PSP 2 that was rumored back before the PSPGo! was actually officially announced.

Eurogamer.net claims to have the specs for an unannounced piece of hardware that is another Sony handheld. No solid sources given on any of this, but here are the specs that they claim this new system would have.

The big boast is that it will have more processing power than the original XBox, with a GPU that can out put upwards of 133 million polygons per second. When you look at the specs, that is more powerful than the original XBox. It is also suppose to use 4 cores, named Hydra as well as the tech that is used in the iPhone for display.

Big claims from this site on having this information in hand. Which is why it is still just a rumor. Sony has yet to official state anything. I also honestly hope they don't. At least for a few more years. With the Go! coming out here shortly, it would be the worst move for the system to announce, "Hey we got another in the pipe line to come out next year." Who would waste $250 on the Go! if they could wait a year with the PSP 3000 and get ther PSP 2 in a little over a year? Here's hoping this is totally just a rumor.
