All thing Blizzard! No support for LAN?

Pardo stated, "We don't have any plans to support LAN." Then flat out said, "we will not support it and only multiplayer available will be on Battle.net." Which in my humble opinion is a huge mistake. StarCraft was and still is a huge showcasing of how simple it is to have a LAN party for a game.

Pardo didn't stop there, he also mention that there is a "zero percent" that we will see StarCraft II on any console. Having learned from their mistake from StarCraft 64. Pardo mention that the gameplay experience was different from PC to console and they do not want to take away from that experience in StarCraft II. Sorry console fans but it looks like we will be keeping this RTS for ourselves!

Also recently Blizzard has released it's 3rd Battle Report. I Wish they would stop already and just release the beta. It was an interesting match between the Zerg and the Protoss as Yeon-Ho Lee fought against David Kim. If you have the time to check it out than I suggest checking it out as they also show you a new map for us to play on.

My question for Blizzard is this, with all the battle reports, screen shots and what not being released, Why haven't you release some sort of tentative date as to when StarCraft II available for us to purchase? It has been 10 years since Brood War and we are all dying for another StarCraft game. I know, I know, you will release it when it is ready. But hasn't it been ready yet? Please. PLEASE! I am seriously begging you! Please release this game soon!
