The next invasion in Mortal Kombat 1 is underway with the Mortal Kombat universe getting a nice dusting of snow and ice
It is winter time and there is snowfall, so that means that we need to have all of that reflected in our games like Mortal Kombat 1. It makes sense when it comes to the title with NetherRealm Studios giving us so many ice-based fighters over the years. This all culminates in the next big Invasion event going on Mortal Kombat 1. Just in time for us to have some snow days, get a copy of the game as a gift, and then carry it well into the new year. This is an event that is running right now on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC that goes until February 13th. Right before we hit the next massive depressing holiday the world has forced upon us all.
As one could surmise from all of this, Sub Zero and the other cryomancers of the Mortal Kombat universe are on the attack and bringing all of the slippery and icy fights for us all. While all of this is going on and we need to save all of the Mortal Kombat timelines from becoming an Icy Hellscape, we will have some new and "Frosty" skins to put on everyone in the game. Along with new missions and boss fights to have in the game in all of the other modes. If you have not started it all as of yet, here is a fun look at just what is on the way to you once you load the game back up. That or start it all for the first time if you get it as one of your holiday gifts.

An unbearable freeze has befallen our timeline. The Season of the Cryomancer has begun in Mortal Kombat 1 and will run till February 13. Bring a jacket.

I fully understand that this time of year we normally get the frozen things for games like Mortal Kombat 1 and the various other titles out there, but I would really love to see someone take things in a fully different way some year. To break the mold so we do not just get the traditional skins that have a few flakes of snow, ice shaving, or blue tint to them to make them feel "in theme." I am not over certain what I would say to go for, but something to shake things up would always be nice. At least we are not seeing anything about an exclusive X-mas fatality for Mortal Kombat 1 that is overly prices… as of yet. Maybe that will be the big thing to open on X-mas morning or something so we can praise capitalism just a bit more.
