South Park: Snow Day Has A Release Date With The Same Potty Humor

South Park

The release date for South Park: Snow Day is set with a fun collector's edition to give us more South Park goodies

Just in time to make sure we can all have our own snow day in reality, maybe, we have the release date for South Park: Snow Day set down. Question Games and THQ Nordic are looking to give the game a solid drop on March 26th, 2024, which feels a lot sooner than many would have thought. I am not complaining about this at the very least, but I was suspecting we might have to wait a bit longer to get South Park in 3D out there. There is a lot more work that has to go into something like that instead of the 2D versions we have seen in the past for the IP. Nonetheless, we are going to have some happy snow days in the near future with it all.

To go with this announcement, we have a new short clip of South Park: Snow Day to take in and a little bit of the story too. A story that seems to be digging further into the fantasy setting that the kids had from before but with Stan and Cartman at more odds in this one. All to make our life as the New Kid a bit harder on one of the best days kids can get out there in South Park. Seeing as we are being healed by Cartman in this scenario, we might have a similar quest we have to go down from before where we will team up with this Grand Wizard to save the city from the high-level ice spell that has been cast. As long as Mitch Conners does not show up and ruin all the fun, at least.

South Park: Snow Day — Release Date

South Park: Snow Day is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 26, 2024!

From South Park Digital Studios comes the next chapter in the journey of the New Kid. A massive blizzard has thrown the town into chaos and, more importantly, canceled school.

Pre-Order now and join Cartman, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny, in three-dimensional glory!

It would not be a title from this publisher if South Park: Snow Day also did not have a massive Collector's Edition of the game to pick up too. An edition of the game that will run us all $219 USD and will offer up some fun little physical extras too. Extras like a snow globe, talking toilet paper dispenser, tarot cards, and knit beanie based on the Carman design. A nice little haul for any South Park fan, but a little on the pricey side when you think about it all. They are limited, though, so I am sure they will fly off the shelves fairly quickly for those truly dedicated to the IP and need to have everything they can for it.

As a fan of South Park, I am still not completely sold on the style of it all nor the gameplay we have seen thus far. It might just be that it is still too jarring for me given the decades of being used to the 2D style, but the humor is still spot on. The art style can also be easily overlooked if the four-player co-op functions as well as we can hope for in South Park: Snow Day. It does look to be more action RPG instead of a turn-based RPG, so that will be one more thing to get used to. We will know for sure this coming March when we all, hopefully, get snowed in so we can have the best excuse to kick back and give it all a go.

How do you feel about the look we have here after all of this time with South Park already? Do you think the gameplay will dwarf what we had before or just add a new twist to it all to keep us engaged? Does this collector's edition feel a little overpriced given that the base game is around $30 USD for starters? Head to the comment section to discuss it all. We will certainly have more for South Park: Snow Day on the site for you, so please keep on checking in for those updates and many more.
