Omni-Man Shows Off How He Will Dominate Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat

The first DLC character for Mortal Kombat 1 is coming next week and here we get to see what they are bringing to Mortal Kombat 1

The hero and leader of the Viltrumites is on the way to destroy the realms out there for Mortal Kombat 1. This we already knew from before NetherRealm Studios even dropped the game. Now, though, we get to know that the DLC character is flying into the game on November 9th, and with him comes all manner of fun and new gameplay. Gameplay we have right now to show off for Mortal Kombat 1 before the character lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC next week. Just in time for the new season of the animated show to land too. It is almost as if it was planned and timed that way just as other DLC characters are going to be.

The quick rundown of Omni-Man is pretty much an evil Superman. If you need more lore than that, go check out Invincible. For Mortal Kombat 1, that is about what we need to know out of the gate with fun nods to the comics and TV show in the mix of things too. The following gameplay highlights much of this and shows off how Omni-Man is going to be more of a speedster-type character in the game than just a brute. An interesting choice, but also fitting for how the character fights and the level of violence he can bring into the world of Mortal Kombat. Have a look and see some of the new moves and attacks that have not been shown before.

Mortal Kombat 1 — Omni-Man Gameplay

Allowing a Viltrumite into the Realms? Think, Liu Kang! Think! Omni-Man joins Mortal Kombat 1 starting November 9.

It's In Our Blood. Discover a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe created by Fire God Liu Kang. Mortal Kombat 1 ushers in a new era of the iconic franchise with a new fighting system, game modes, and Fatalities!

As a character, Omni-Man is one of the ones I was waiting to see in Mortal Kombat 1. The team is not disappointing me with how they are bringing the character to life and mixing in some of the great and iconic scenes from the other forms of media he has shown up in. Moreso when we get to also hear the voice reading off all of the lines too. That voice is J.K. Simmons, who is always on top of his game out there for this. Just as Omni-Man looks to be in the mix here even if it makes little sense that anyone in the Mortal Kombat universe would be able to harm him. My guess is that it will be something to do with magic just as we have seen with other characters like this in the IP.

Will you be downloading Omni-Man into Mortal Kombat 1 right away or will you hold out for all of the DLC characters to land? Do you like all of the fun nods to the other media out there or did you think it was just going to be a carbon copy of Superman from their other games? How do you think the fight between Omni-Man and Homelander will actually play out when all of the DLC drops? Fight it all out in the comment section and let the discussion flow. We have more for Mortal Kombat 1 on the way, so please keep on checking back for all of those updates and the various other bits as we head into the future.
