Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 Is Finally Stalking The Night Again

Bloodlines

A new update for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is here to let us know that Bloodlines 2 is rising from the dead again

Gods, it has been a hard road here for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, but here we are with a new update to share with the world out there. After the last one where Paradox Interactive let the world know that the game was on an indefinite delay and dropping the studio that was working on it, we were all left wondering what was to be. Hells, I am still fighting with them to get my refund from the game I pre-ordered three years ago now. That is a story for a different day, though, as during PAX West here, we have the announcement that The Chinese Room will be taking over the work on Bloodlines 2. All so we can hopefully see it in 2024 on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Given how this has all gone, I will believe it when I see it.

It is nice that we now have a new update for Bloodlines 2, but it is very basic for now. In fact, some of the new looks that we have for the game here look to be built from the previous version of the game while the team keeps the momentum going. However, it does look as if we are having one of our previous characters in the IP back as an Elder vampire taking to the streets again. All while giving Bloodlines 2 the look and feel of a few of the parkour FPS games that we have seen out there too. All with some fun Vampire powers and the horrible World Of Darkness that we are going to be running around in. Although, we are going to have to wait until January to see any of the new gameplay. It is at least coming as we have now been promised again. Fingers are crossed that this is going to fully pan out and there will not be any more creative differences along the way.

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 — New Announcement

Embrace your inner Kindred and join us in Seattle for the long-awaited Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2. Find your place in the battle to come, and try not to let the city bleed you dry. Coming fall 2024.

Paradox Interactive announced that The Chinese Room, a Sumo Digital studio, is developing the highly-anticipated Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 during the PAX West keynote. The Chinese Room brings their award-winning storytelling to Bloodlines 2, creating a high-quality Vampire: The Masquerade action RPG by talented developers with triple-A experience. Fans eager to sink their teeth into Bloodlines 2 can look forward to the gameplay reveal in January 2024 and its launch in Fall 2024.

Bloodlines 2 is the successor to the cult-classic Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines. Bloodlines 2 takes players to the dark underbelly of Seattle, where vampires struggle for survival and supremacy. As an Elder vampire, players meet compelling characters, maneuver complex political relationships, stalk the city streets for prey, and engage in intense combat while balancing the need for blood. Throughout the game, players must always be mindful of their surroundings or risk breaking the Masquerade – the absolute law of secrecy that keeps vampire society hidden from humanity.

If you needed a little more to see for Bloodlines 2, we have the studio reveal that went down during PAX West just a bit lower. It shows off a few of the crew over at The Chinese Room and how they are going to approach the game here. Weirdly, they are still leaning into the Seattle setting of it all even though they are a UK developer, but it is what it is. We have a bit more of the concept art and it does sound as if we might have a story direction that they will be going in when it comes to Bloodlines 2. The studio does have a solid record of giving us all some solid stories in their video games out there. So that is something to be overly excited for in the mix. Even if we still have to wait over a year to see the game and almost half a year to see the gameplay of it all too. Have a listen and see what else we can dig up here.
