Here we go with a massive look at Super Mario Bros. Wonder and just what this game is going to give all of the Switch gamers out there. Not only is it a new 2D platformer from Nintendo we are going to get to explore, but it is also a massive change and expansive world we are going to get. As if we have not had that from other Super Mario Bros. titles in the past. Although, after the latest Nintendo Direct that highlighted it all, this one looks as if it is going to change the game when it drops on October 20th out there. I know how that all sounds, but wait until you see just what we have here for it all though.
In Super Mario Bros. Wonder, we are going to get to take on an adventure in a new world and over seven distinct lands out there in the Flower Kingdom. All as we select Mario, Luigi, Daisy, Peach, Toad, or Toadette to go out there and do just that. All in the various lands we have experienced in the past but with a newer look to it all. Not a bad idea to go with this as it opens things up for the fans of Super Mario Bros. who want the best of both worlds. Even if this one does shift things up a bit by allowing us to hit each of the different courses however we wish when going. Well, outside of the final one that will allow us to move on to the next major area. That will need us to collect a few seeds along the way to open things up.
All of these new worlds in Super Mario Bros. Wonder will also come along with a bunch of the tried-and-true power-ups for the characters and also many other new ones. New ones like an Elephant form, Drill Hat, or the ability to spit bubbles out there too. All will add a different way to go about the world or give us a few ways to swap through things too. That is something we can do with the power-ups in Super Mario Bros. Wonder too, as we can store one of the power-ups for a different time or if we do get hit and need something to help us all along the way too. Given that we will be able to do that with up to four other players on the couch, that could be something we truly need in the mix once again.

Mario and friends have been invited to visit the colorful Flower Kingdom, just a short hop away from the Mushroom Kingdom. Unfortunately, King Bowser has transformed into a flying castle and is causing chaos across their peaceful land. Now our heroes must save the day—and the Flower Kingdom—in this wonderous new adventure!
It has been a long time since I have had a chance to play a new Super Mario Bros. title, so I will have to say I am excited to see how things are progressing with this one here. The co-op modes are definitely a nice touch and the inclusion of Yoshi as more of an Easy Mode more than anything is nice. Especially since it is a character that more of the new players gravitate toward in general. Also, mixing in some of the online gameplay for Super Mario Bros. Wonder with it only being something helpful is a great touch in my eyes. Doubled down with the ability to see how many other players that user has helped along the way too. Almost like a bit of shaming others for not helping out along the way. Maybe this will lead to a better online community in the end.
