The Night Shift Starts With The Five Nights At Freddy’s Movie

Five Nights At Freddy’s

The first full trailer for Five Nights At Freddy’s is here and we get to see how much of Five Nights At Freddy’s will be in it

It is time to put most of the teasing to rest for the Five Nights At Freddy’s movie, as we have a full trailer to dive into for it all now. We are talking about a two-minute version of things here that Blumhouse has graciously placed out there in the world so we can see what aspects from the games they will be keeping or tossing aside. I mean, let us face it, Five Nights At Freddy’s is not made for a great film based on just the gameplay alone and the story has been delivered in such a weird way, someone would have to try to find a good way to show it all off. Even if it feels like it would have worked better as a short series on Peacock instead of a feature film. But I do not make the decisions out there.

So, as you can see below, Five Nights At Freddy’s will be following along with a down-on-his-luck security guard looking for work. He so manages to get said work at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza where he also brings his daughter along. Those that know the Five Nights At Freddy’s story can already see where this is going to go. Those that do not, well, the animatronics house the souls of dead kids that are out for some kind of revenge out there. That is what this version seems to be going along with so that things can stay interesting and keep moving forward. Now the guard needs to make sure he and his daughter are able to make it out while all of the characters come to life and try to make sure that does not happen.

When the night shift starts, the nightmare begins. Watch the official Five Nights At Freddy’s trailer now. In Theaters and streaming on Peacock October 27.

Can you survive five nights?

The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse — the producer of M3GAN, The Black Phone, and The Invisible Man — brings Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen.

The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.

As I mentioned, I think Five Nights At Freddy’s could have worked better as a five or six-episode series instead. Each night ramping up the scares and story. It would also play into the theme and title of it all too. Even at a half-hour episode, we are talking about three hours of content and a fuller way to show and explain the story instead of trying to hammer it all out through exposition and forced dialog. That is how some of it feels like it will play out in the Five Nights At Freddy’s movie. Even if we are going to see some of those flashbacks and such too. It just kind of feels like a missed opportunity to me, but we are just going to have to wait and see. I still have high hopes for it all after the trailer we have though.

Are you just as excited to see Five Nights At Freddy’s hit the big screen as ever or would you have rather seen it as a series instead? Do you think this will be a basic retelling of the original game or will this further expand the story of it all? Will this play into the overall canon of the game as all of the other forms of media have when it comes to it all? Take a dive into the comment section and feel free to discuss all of this. We are going to be all over Five Nights At Freddy’s when it is out there, so be sure to keep checking back for all of those updates and many, many more. I am sure you will not be let down by any of it.
