Gord Will Be Sprouting Out There For Us This August

Gord

The release date for Gord is set and we can have a small taste for Gord just a bit before it

The Summer is finally here and that means that Gord is supposed to be launching on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at some point. That was the timeline that Covenant gave us before and, thankfully, it looks like they are sticking with it. Fresh out of the Steam Next Fest, we now have word that Gord will be launching out there for us on August 8th Closer to the end of the Summer but still rightly in the season. All to give us all one more reason to sit in the nice and shaded setting of our homes to experience what this game has to offer up to the world. You have to like it when plans come together like this.

Now that we have the date, there has to be something else for Gord to come out of this massive showcase, right? Well, yes there is. Like the fact that there is now a demo for Gord out there on Steam for us all to experience until the 26th of June. That way we can see how far the game has come and what extra work might be going into it all down the line. That and to see if it is going to have a gameplay loop that we are going to want to experience many times over after we throw down our money for the game. That is usually a nice thing to have so you do not get fully bamboozled by deceptive marketing.

The second thing we have to share for Gord, as mentioned, is a new trailer of sorts to help promote the game. It digs further into the Slavic folklore that is going to be ever-present in the game while giving us a taste of some of the music we can look forward to hearing in the mix. Given how video games usually go, we are going to hear it a lot since these things usually loop back on themselves. Not a terrible thing, but something to experience for Gord as we wait for the next few months to flow on by, and then we get to play the full game. If the aforementioned demo is not enough to hold you over until then, that is.
