Disney Speedstorm Is Heading Out Of The Pit For An Early Access

Disney

Disney fans will soon be able to see what Disney Speedstorm holds for them when the Early Access for the game kicks off

The race is almost on with Disney Speedstorm, as now we have the game heading to us all in an Early Access form. An Early Access that we are not going to have to wait long from Gameloft to get. If you are willing to hold out only a few more weeks, you will be able to experience some of what Disney Speedstorm has to offer on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC this April 18th. As I said, only a few more weeks but you will be able to throw down that early cash now if you want to get in on any of the various "Founder's Editions" for the game. This is how you will be able to access those various Early Access bits out there after all.

If you are looking to go all-in on Disney Speedstorm along with the Early Access, it looks as if we will have three different options to pick up along the way. All with the tiered out in-game currency bonuses and cosmetics, but the bigger draw is that we will have access to more racers with the more paid out. The Standard gives us just Mickey, Donald, and a racer of our choosing. The Deluxe offers the same but adds Mulan into the mix. Finally, the Ultimate gives us all of those racers but also adds Hercules and Jack Sparrow into the mix. This does mean that everyone in the Early Access for Disney Speedstorm will have some extra variation given that they will be able to select their bonus character instead of being forced with one. An interesting way to go and it looks like it will be fully worth it all in the end.

Disney Speedstorm — Early Access Release Date

Gameloft announced that Disney Speedstorm, the upcoming cross-platform arcade combat racing experience developed by Gameloft Barcelona, races into Early Access via Founder’s Pack purchase on April 18 on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Pre-orders for Disney Speedstorm Founder’s Packs are available now on the Nintendo eShop, Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store worldwide, and starting March 20 on PlayStation Store. Steam users can Wishlist the game beginning today and purchase any of the Founder’s Pack starting on April 18 to receive the Donald Duck cosmetics as a First Week Bonus.

Founder’s Packs – available in Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Tiers – grant players early access to Disney Speedstorm along with opportunities to unlock and race with some characters in local races from the moment they first log in. Racers that have been unlocked via a Founder’s Pack can also be upgraded through the use of several items included in each pack, for local and online play.

During its Early Access phase, Disney Speedstorm will offer both single-player and multiplayer local and online modes, leaderboards, an in-game shop, and much more. In single-player mode, players will be guided through the Season Tour narrative which also serves as a jumping-off point to progress through each Season’s story. Each season offers new Disney and Pixar characters, karts, tracks, and more through local and online gameplay, giving racers plenty to be excited for in the coming months. More competitive players can jump into Disney Speedstorm’s multiplayer modes, which include Local Freeplay, Private Track, Ranked Multiplayer with leaderboards, and Regulated Multiplayer - a race mode that allows players to race head-to-head on an even playing field.
