by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of July 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We have finally recouped a bit from the epic week of SDCC and had a lot to catch up on the video games front. Not only from the event but also from all the stuff that fell through the cracks due to the team being on the ground. That means we were able to come back and see new stuff for Borderlands 3 and Blair Witch. All in time for the release of Wolfenstein: Youngblood while giving out our thoughts on Doctor Who VR and Iron Man VR. Read More...

SDCC Hands-On — Marvel’s Iron Man VR
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of July 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Iron Man While at SDCC, I was able to see Marvel’s Iron Man VR in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Marvel’s Iron Man VR So many were shocked to find out we were getting Marvel’s Iron Man VR and there has been a lot of hype around it after it was announced for the PSVR. That was at least the case for me, so I went on the hunt during SDCC this year to find Camouflaj and give the demo of it all a go. Surprising enough, I was able to do that and hop right into the helmet while suiting up. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of July 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Doctor Who While at SDCC, I was able to see Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time So many fans out there have been excited to see just what is going to happen in Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time since it had a surprise announcement and then what felt like a quick development cycle. It is still releasing this September for the various VR systems across the PC and PS4. It is also still very much linked to the current version of Doctor Who currently on the BBC with Maze Theory working close with them to make sure it is what fans want. Read More...

PlayStation Is Bringing A Few Mysterious Things To SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of July 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
PlayStation PlayStation will have a new mystery item out at SDCC with some boxes that will house all the random PlayStation gear one could want PlayStation was missing at E3 and it looks like they may be sitting part of SDCC out too. At least when it comes to games and other things for that part of the company. Instead, we have word now that they will be out there but with some exclusive gear for con-goers to pick up while on the show floor. All stuff that you most likely could not get from the PlayStation Gear Store as it is listed that each will be limited to 500 pieces per exclusives. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of July 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Nintendo The Nintendo gaming lounge is coming back to SDCC this year and bringing all kinds of great Nintendo things for fans at the convention Almost a little late to the game, pun intended, it looks like Nintendo will be back at SDCC again with their gaming lounge and many other activities going on. Some out there were getting a bit worried that they would be skipping this year as there has been no word, but today we now have confirmation. Just a day before the convention kicks right off. Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time Is Coming To SDCC To Show Us What Has Been Made
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of June 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Doctor Who New videos for Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time are out there to show off how the game is made and how Doctor Who can get to experience it at SDCC Not too long ago we were all made aware that Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time was going to be a thing and bring the franchise to the VR setting. It looked rather cool and I know I was hoping to be able to see and/or play what Maze Theory had put together at E3 this year. Sadly, that did not pan out and I was left wondering just what would be going on with this title. It launches this September on the PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Vive Cosmos so it would make sense to have some of us fans give it a go beforehand. Read More...

More Characters Will Be Joining The Roster In Spider-Man’s Story
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of July 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Spider-Man Another bit of story is out there for the upcoming Spider-Man game and we have a look at the last of the pre-order Spider-Man suits from SDCC Just as many of us thought, Spider-Man for the PS4 was one of the big games out at SDCC that Marvel was out there showing off. It was not the only one, but that will be our focus on things right now as Insomniac Games’ version of the franchise will be landing here on September 7th and the other games looked at are out already or further out than that. All of that said, it looks like there will be even more characters than we thought in Spider-Man when it launches in all of the heroes, allies, villains, and anti-hero categories. At least if they keep some of how the latest to show up in the story close to here comic book counterpart. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty More story is here for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4's Zombies mode as well as a look at the new collector's edition for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 that is coming The zombies are running free with more here for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 and we have more of the story to dig into all thanks to SDCC that just wrapped. We have had a bit of the story and look at how Treyarch is modifying the mode for this game, but here we go with a whole lot more to see for it all. It may not be anything in terms of new gameplay for this Call Of Duty, but seeing as it has not changed up much for a while as it is still a first-person shooter, that is not a huge surprise. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of July 2018 - 05:00 PM ]

For those looking to see how Telltale Games is wrapping up this story on the Switch you will have to wait a bit longer for that. by Duke Searles [ Wednesday, 18th of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Nintendo The Nintendo lounge is back at SDCC and many of your favorite Nintendo properties will be out there to play and relax with One of the staples of SDCC that I have always enjoyed has been the Nintendo lounge and it looks like it is going to be back again this year. Back again and setting up shop at the Marriott Marquis & Marina down in San Diego for fans to come out and try some of their new and old games they have out there. Super Smash Bros. and Pokémon being the big ones as usual, but there will be many others in the realm of Super Mario and the like. Read More...

by Jana Lass [ Tuesday, 17th of July 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Capcom We have a list of everything Capcom will have out at SDCC this year coving all the Capcom IPs from Resident Evil to Mega Man to Street Fighter Heads up for all of you Capcom fans out there as they are bringing many of their games to San Diego Comic-Con this year through both demos, panels, and autograph sessions. It will not be all of their titles, of course, but it looks like the focus will be on the Resident Evil 2 remake, Mega Man 11, and the Mega Man X Collection that are all coming in the next six months at different times. Square Enix Is Bringing All Kinds Of Tomb Raider & Kingdom Hearts Fun To SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of July 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Square Enix Not to be left out of SDCC, Square Enix is bringing all kinds of games and events to make sure you have been able to experience all Square Enix has to offer Just as the many year's past, Square Enix will be back at SDCC this year and bringing with them all of the games that we have been keeping an eye on and hoping to play sooner rather than later. Sadly, it does not look like they are bringing much in the way of Final Fantasy, but they are truly pushing Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and Kingdom Hearts III just as they did out at E3. Not the biggest of surprises given the proximity to the release dates and SDCC being a huge fan event for Square Enix to get the games in front of more eyes than just through other people's thoughts and opinions. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 & Spyro Are Making Their Mark On SDCC 2018
by Duke Searles [ Monday, 16th of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty Spyro and Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 will have a presence during SDCC 2018 with another good look at the next Call Of Duty Zombies as well With Comic-Con International right around the corner, this week in fact, it would make sense that started to see some of those gaming companies coming out there with their titles and Activision has done just that as we now know that Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be out there in some form of force. It would have felt like a missed opportunity if neither were out there for all those who missed out during E3 and before. Not to mention that this is usually where we have been getting our big Call Of Duty Zombies updates in the past few years. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/7/17 — 8/10/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of August 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Another week has come and gone and we had even more to talk about in the world of video games than was expected. At least expected by me as we are getting close to the next big gaming conventions out there and you'd think that all the studios and publishers would be holding back. Then again, we have some great titles like Assassin’s Creed Origins and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus coming up and we need to talk about those video games for sure. Then mix in some extra coverage on SDCC that we've been working on getting out to you and a few new reviews and I guess I can see how we made it a pretty hectic week again. Read More...
