Audica Is Making Its Way Over To The PSVR This Fall
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of August 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Audica The rhythm shooter, Audica, is now on its way to other VR platforms by adding in the PSVR for Audica this coming fall Those who felt left out of the fun with Audica when it launched on the PC for the Oculus platform, there is now luck for you. It is still going to be a VR title, but now Harmonix has announced that the game will now be making its way over to the PSVR this coming Fall. It will still, obviously, require all of the extra hardware to experience Audica in the new setting, but that is a cheaper point of entry for those who are still looking to get into it all. Even if this is quite a bit after it launched in Early Access already. Read More...

Review — Trover Saves The Universe
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of August 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Trover Saves The Universe We sit down and review Trover Saves The Universe. An interesting VR game from some amazingly twisted minds. Here is our review of Trover Saves The Universe Hopefully by now you are at least aware of Trover Saves The Universe and the team behind it all here. I am not talking about just Squanch Games, but all of the minds that have input into the humor and worlds that the game is either based on or takes influence from. Fans of Rick And Morty will know exactly what I am talking about here as those influences can directly be seen all around. Being a huge fan, I was glad to put on my VR headset and dive right into the world of Trover Saves The Universe and see if it could live up to it all. Read More...

SDCC Hands-On — Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of July 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Doctor Who While at SDCC, I was able to see Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time So many fans out there have been excited to see just what is going to happen in Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time since it had a surprise announcement and then what felt like a quick development cycle. It is still releasing this September for the various VR systems across the PC and PS4. It is also still very much linked to the current version of Doctor Who currently on the BBC with Maze Theory working close with them to make sure it is what fans want. Read More...

Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time Is Coming To SDCC To Show Us What Has Been Made
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of June 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Doctor Who New videos for Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time are out there to show off how the game is made and how Doctor Who can get to experience it at SDCC Not too long ago we were all made aware that Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time was going to be a thing and bring the franchise to the VR setting. It looked rather cool and I know I was hoping to be able to see and/or play what Maze Theory had put together at E3 this year. Sadly, that did not pan out and I was left wondering just what would be going on with this title. It launches this September on the PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Vive Cosmos so it would make sense to have some of us fans give it a go beforehand. Read More...

E3 Hands-On — Phantom: Covert Ops
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of June 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Phantom While at E3, I was able to see Phantom: Covert Ops in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Phantom: Covert Ops. This year it felt like there was a lack of VR out at E3, but that does not mean it was not there and it did allow for titles like Phantom: Covert Ops to shine out a bit more than normal. Something that many could easily have looked over on the floor if there were loads of other titles out there. Thankfully, I had a chance to sneak down to nDreams to see just what they had for us this year and it was a nice little stealth VR title where we stay seated in a kayak the whole time. Read More...

This time it is coming from Maze Theory for the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PSVR. Yes, all of the major platforms for it all and set in the current state of the TV show. Get Ready To Interact With Afterlife This May
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of April 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Afterlife The interactive VR film Afterlife is heading out there in May and we have another new sample of what will be happening in Afterlife’s story A little while back we heard of a new interactive VR film called Afterlife and it piqued our interests even though it did not sound like a game at first. It, more or less, sounded like another film being placed out there in the VR realm from Signal Space Lab and that we would sit as a passive observer to a very grim and dark story. Something that is definitely right in the middle of my tastes even if it did not sound like a true game. Read More...

Virtually Choose Your Own Way Through Afterlife
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Afterlife The first dev diary for Afterlife is here to show us how the team has started to bring this VR choose-your-own-adventure about the Afterlife to life Here we go with a new little twist on the VR and live-action as Afterlife is bringing both of those together to give us an interesting experience with a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure twist. That is at least as it basically sounds with a darker and grimmer style of story tacked on here. I mean, Signal Space Lab is taking us through an "intimate journey through tragedy, grief, and acceptance" in the experience here so… In any instance, we have a new behind the scenes look at how Afterlife is being put together to show that a great VR game can be done with live-action sequences and not all virtually generated stuff. Review — Arca’s Path
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Arca’s Path We sit down and review Arca’s Path. An interesting VR version of Marble Madness, of sorts. Here is our review of Arca’s Path In the mix of all the high action and fast moving video games out there, it is time to take a break and slow things down with Arca’s Path. The latest VR title to hit our PSVR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift here from Dream Reality Interactive. It started out as one of the smaller titles I saw at video game conventions in the past and now it has grown into a full-fledged release. Mix that in with some of the more serene visuals, music, and mechanics, it looks like Arca’s Path could be the break some of us need out there. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of November 2018 - 08:00 PM ]

You may have already figured all of that out from the title above, but it is here for those who did not catch that just yet. It also gives us another look at just how Dream Reality Interactive has put together their style and choices for Arca’s Path to make it feel unique and stand apart from all of those other games out there. As if being on the Oculus, HTC Vive, and PS VR was not enough already, it goes that extra step further. Read More...

Arca’s Path The latest developer diary for Arca’s Path is here to dive into how we will control things in Arca’s Path and how it will be about our comfort When it comes to VR we all want to have a nice comfortable experience and it looks like that is something we can expect when it comes to Arca’s Path. That is at least one of the goals that Dream Reality Interactive is aiming for with the game in the way they are designing it. Comfort and control is the true goal. Read More...

Here Is A Deeper Delve Into The World Of Arca’s Path
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of November 2018 - 06:00 PM ]
Arca’s Path The next developer diary for Arca’s Path is here to take us deeper into the lore and world of Arca’s Path just a little bit ahead of launch Here we go with another look at Arca’s Path just ahead of it hitting the Oculus, Vive, and PSVR on December 4th. It has been an interesting title in my eyes since I first had a chance to experience what Dream Reality Interactive has been working on and now we all get a better sense of what is going on the world of the game. Besides the rolling of a ball using your head as the controller and trying to solve the different puzzles in Arca’s Path. There is more story behind it all is where I am going with this and the latest developer diary Rebellion has up for us goes right into all of that. Read More...
