The Expanse: A Telltale Series Now Has A Date To Kick Things Off For Us

Expanse

The release date for The Expanse: A Telltale Series is set for July to get fans of The Expanse further excited for more stories

We still need to wait a bit more for the first episode of The Expanse: A Telltale Series to come out, but now we know when it will be dropping on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not only when Telltale Games will be dropping the first episode but also the path that Deck Nine Games is going to take to release the rest of the five episodes out there. With the good news that we will not be waiting forever to get more of The Expanse in our lives. Now, we can look to July 27th to get that first episode and then every two weeks after that we will get to experience the next chapter to it all. With a bit of word that we will be getting more to it all down the line. More on that just below, though.

As it sounds here for The Expanse, we will have two different options to go with when picking up the game. There is the standard, which if pre-ordered will give you access to the game twenty-four hours in advance. Then the Deluxe, which gives the same, but will have some extra DLC down the line to go with the game. That DLC has yet to be determined or announced, but when it comes to these kinds of games, one can only guess it could be a whole extra chapter or story segment to experience. That is what crosses my mind and for the same price jump of a new episode of The Expanse, it feels likely. We will have to wait and see on that. Just as we will for the core game with over two months to go until the story kicks off for us.

Telltale Games revealed the release date for The Expanse: A Telltale Series. Episode one of the series is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on July 27, 2023.

Following the release of Episode 1, the following four episodes will be releasing every two weeks from July 27, 2023, allowing players to experience the exciting universe of The Expanse like never before.

Pre-orders for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions will go live on June 1, 2023. Players who pre-order will receive 24-hour early access, while players who purchase the Deluxe edition will also receive DLC.

The first new IP announced by Telltale since the company re-formed in 2019, The Expanse: A Telltale Series is set prior to the events of Alcon Television Group’s critically acclaimed and award-winning television series which streams on Amazon Prime Video. Players take on the role of Camina Drummer (played by actress Cara Gee in both the game and TV series), the XO of a scavenger crew on the hunt for a mysterious treasure on the edges of The Belt. As Drummer, players must deal with a mix of powerful personalities, square off against a bloody mutiny, explore locations beyond The Belt and, most of all, make tough decisions that will decide the fate of The Artemis crew. Scour shipwrecks, use mag boots to walk on walls and ceilings, and utilize Zero-G thrusters to float through sections of ships and the open expanse of space in the largest and most immersive exploration of any Telltale game to date.
