[Xbox 360 Review] Tomb Raider: Underworld
by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 3rd of January 2009 - 03:43 AM ]
Lara Croft returns in Tomb Raider: Underworld, her final adventure before a huge revamping of the series. So is this a brilliant way to send Lara off before reconstruction of the series or an example of why the series needs change? I am pleased to say that this is the best Tomb Raider title to date. Crystal Dynamics uses Underworld to continue and bring a conclusion to Lara's adventure she began in 2006's Legend. Underworld begins with you controlling Lara in Croft Manor as the manor is ablaze. Review â Quantum Of Solace
by [ Sunday, 23rd of November 2008 - 10:40 PM ]
Quantum Of Solace The latest James Bond adventure is actually fun As evidenced in previous James Bond video games, it’s a pure rush of adrenaline to step into the shoes of the debonair agent. From GoldenEye to Everything or Nothing, the Bond games have usually been faithful recreations of the films or entirely new adventures to embark on. With Quantum Of Solace, the newest addition to the Bond game library, the total immersion of being Bond is alive and well. With much owed to the Call Of Duty 4 engine, this is a fast-paced, fun FPS with elements of third-person shooters. Read More...

For everyone else, it has meant playing with the lights on, confusing and convoluted plotlines, and horrible controls. With the recent release of Silent Hill: Homecoming, the sixth entry into the Silent Hill franchise, Double Helix Games sought to better your survival horror experience. Did they succeed? Yes, in a number of ways. Read More...

So you're 360 is pretty cool right? Well it's about to a lot cooler on Nov 19 with the release of the highly anticipated NXE which is short for New XBOX Experience. If you live under a rock and haven't heard about it, it's a whole new dashboard replacement (just click the link and it'll take you to an example NXE) along with avatars, which Microsoft claims to have thought of before Nintendo's Mii's. Additional features include being able to load a game to a hard drive (you still need the disc in the drive to play but you can expect higher frame rates and quicker load times), the ability to win Microsoft Points by playing arcade style games, access to Netflix movies, and more.
