GameCube Making A Come Back...?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of April 2008 - 01:06 PM ]
Wii Gets A New GameCube Controller Ok, I know my title was a little misleading, but it got you to look into the actual New bit. So Ha! It worked. :) The short and dirty of it is that Nintendo is releasing a GameCube Controller specifically for the Wii. It's not wireless or have motion controls. At least not from what I read. But it is the nice white color of the Wii and the controllers for it. Read More...

Going #1 on the Wii...
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Tuesday, 1st of April 2008 - 09:45 AM ]
So I normally don't write two articles in an hour, but I just checked my email, and this was featured in my Thinkgeek.com Newsletter... SUPER Pii Pii brothers is a crazy, imported Japanese game for the Wii that requires you to... well... wee!! Complete loads of mini games by attaching your Wii-mote into the support harness provided and AIM AWAY!! Score extra points by tinkling on cats and other fun creates who pop out of the urinals and lose points for getting too much on the floor. Verse your friends in the fun multi-player mode and if the humiliation wasn't enough, just the mere ability to say you own Super Pii Pii Brothers is worth the $34. Read More...

Enjoy Gaming In 3D
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of March 2008 - 11:57 AM ]
Wii Head Tracking powers new 3D game Not the most creative of titles, but, well...whatever. A long while back, before we had the Narticle section, I posted a bunch of things about the Wii and PS-Eye head tracking systems that people are working on. They were just basic tracking things that would move just some dots or basic targets on the screen depending on where your head is. The Wii had a set of glasses for this. They looked very clunky and a lot like the old VR goggles of yore. Read More...

Wii Wrock
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of March 2008 - 02:15 PM ]
Rock Band On Wii June 22nd Before I get accused of having a hard on for Rock Band, let me say...Ok well I do. But that isn't why I've posted all the news on it. There is just so much going on with this game in general. There is something new about it every week. Sometimes it almost seems like every day. But I digest. :) But as the title and the release below state, they have set the release date for the game on the Wii. Read More...

For You Nintendo Fans
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of March 2008 - 11:52 AM ]
The 3D Mario Wii Case Ok, I know we got a load of fans for the Nintendo here. Hell I am too, but not as much as this person. I mean, I just went to DecalGirl.com and ordered my Skull Case cover for mine. I just wish that I was half as talented as this person or had half the time. Bravo on this this. Doubt it will fit smoothly anywhere, but it does look friggin' cool. Now, here' something I'm curious about, has any one else here gone this crazy with tricking out their machines? Read More...

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Disc Issues.
by Alyssa Porter [ Tuesday, 11th of March 2008 - 04:04 AM ]
As we all know, Super Smash Bros. Brawl recently released in North America and hundreds to thousands of Smash Bros fans waited eagerly outside of their local GameStop’s to get themselves their copy. When they got home and threw their SSBB disc in their Nintendo Wii Consoles “a small percentage” of the fan base was let down by a “disc-read error”.According to Nintendo, who just sold 1 million copies in Japan, this is due to the high-capacity double-layer disc that is used for Super Smash Bros Brawl. On Nintendo’s official North American site they explained "A very small percentage of Wii consoles may have trouble consistently reading data off this large capacity disc if there is some contamination on the lens of the disc drive. GameStop is finally releasing the anxiously awaited Nintendo Wii game Super Smash Bros. Brawl this Sunday (3/9/08), but they have put a new twist on to the midnight release, a countrywide tournament. This tournament, which is free to play in, is absolutely huge! There are 45 pages of participating first round stores from all over the United States, which basically means that this is probably going to be one of the biggest tournaments ever. This tournament has four rounds. GameStop will be flying the eight semifinalists to San Jose, California to compete in the fourth and final round at their brand new tournament center and store. UK Host Reveals That Her Boobs Get In The Way Of Gaming
by Trina [ Friday, 7th of March 2008 - 12:29 PM ]
TV star Gemma Atkinson in the UK and Play.com Live host revealed to the Sun that while she loves the Nintendo Wii, it hurts her chest. Speaking to the Sun, the TV celebrity said: "I win every time I play the Wii. I'm the champion at the bowling game. I love it because all the family can get involved so it's great to play on a Saturday night if everyone is round." But here's where it gets odd. "I have to wear TWO bras when I go running at the gym so I'd love to design a range of sports bras for big-breasted women, something sexy not plain. Read More...

Issues With A Bully?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 05:02 PM ]
Rockstar Apologizes For And Is Working On 360 Bully Now that I've suckered you into the article, time to mess you up. I'll try not to mess you up as bad as Rockstar has made it seem that they have messed up. Apparently their testing and QA department didn't catch all of the bugs in the game before release. Let me list them for you: Serious frame rate issues Audio glitches Freezing At least those are the ones reported thus far. Sam Houser had this to say about the whole things to boot. Read More...

THQ Has Spirit, How About You?
by Trina [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 12:57 PM ]
THQ announces All Star Cheer Squad for the Wii and DS Okay get ready to roast me, but I am completely intrigued by THQ's announcement of All Star Cheer Squad for the Wii and DS. As a former cheerleader, I can't help but giggle as I imagine people cheering with Wii-mote in hand in the their living room. Players will enter into the world of competitive cheer leading as seen in Bring it on. "With the explosive growth of the girls gaming market in recent years due to the continued success of Wii and DS, our ongoing goal is to stay at the cutting edge of that success by bringing a brand new property for this segment to these popular systems," said Jim Huntley, director of global brand management, THQ. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 12:49 PM ]
SSB:Brawl Biggest Tournament At GameStop I know I've talked about it the few times I've been in the ShoutBox and once on the Forums, but here is the release event to end all release events, at least for now. But it looks like they are promoting even further a game that has already hit over 2 million pre-orders already. Awesome right? Well you will get to play the game before the actual US street release, at least for a few hours before you get to take it home with you. Read More...

Double Axe For Wii
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of March 2008 - 01:17 PM ]
Guitar Hero III Gets New Pack So you might have heard or been mixed up in the fiasco of the Mono-sound issue with the Wii version of the game. If you signed up for the replacement disc, I'm sorry for you since that doesn't seem to be going to well, at least from what has been reported to me. I hear it is a long turn around time to get your disk shipped back to you. So you might want to pick up another game in the mean time to fill the void of the wait. No More Heroes is a good choice, but I digest. Read More...
