As if this wasn't to be expected right and why not? The most recent Mortal Kombat was a great revitalization to the franchise so it would be a great idea to port it over to Sony's new portable device. Let's just hope that it isn't just a search to milk more money out of our wallets. Let's see what was also announced with this. All Of The PS3 Content - This includes all of the DLC that has come out as well as Kratos. From the classic costumes to Freddy. Read More...

So if you watched the VGA's over the last weekend you more than likely saw the new trailer for BioShock Infinite. If you didn't, you can check it out below. Just please come back up here and read if you decide to skip on down. Having watched the trailer I find myself asking: "Where's the new stuff?" Fan Made BioShock Movie Teaser
by Matt Waitt [ Friday, 2nd of December 2011 - 12:29 PM ]
In my long and weary travels through the harsh and sometimes beautiful lands of the internet, I have come across a video on YouTube by the username of "TheBioshockMovie" which only has one upload which was about a week ago. The upload is titled "BioShock Movie (2013) - Trailer". While it's more of a teaser, this fan-made video has definitely impressed me. The teaser starts off with some junk on a beach as the camera pans to the right we see a wallet, a shoe and then a man. A man who just happens to be holding a Big Daddy doll, then a sharp cut to a real life big daddy, a man screaming and what seems to be the man holding the doll getting swept away from a surge of water. Zachary Levi To Host Video Game Awards
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 30th of November 2011 - 05:29 PM ]
Today it was announced that Zachary Levi will be hosting the 2011 Video Game Awards on Spike TV. Before you click away from this article and roll your eyes, let's take a look at the VGAs and this press release in particular before you pre-judge the fledgling award show. I decided to do this analysis in hopes that Spike TV is trying to legitimize the show and the process. First off, Zachary Levi is a nice, safe choice for host. He's moderately popular with the mainstream (Chuck, Tangled) and he has geek cred (Halo voiceover and Internet presence). Read More...

Trailer Park (10/24/11)
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 24th of October 2011 - 07:09 PM ]
Blizzard has released a new cinematic trailer for Diablo III featuring some very scary atmosphere and demons. The new trailer also shows off some of the story we can expect in Diablo III, such as Asmodon trying to acquire the Black Soulstone to rule as the true prime evil. If my memory serves me correct there are seven prime evils and in Diablo II we killed three of them: Mephisto, Diablo and Baal. The trailer also shows us a new character, who I believe is Deckard Cain's niece, whose name I do not know at this point. But enough of my rambling, enjoy the trailer. Read More...

New Halo Anniversary Trailer Says What's Old is New
by Matt Waitt [ Wednesday, 19th of October 2011 - 10:07 AM ]
A new "BTS" or "Behind The Scenes" trailer has been released for the upcoming Halo: Anniversary. The trailer shows off a lot of new stuff such as Skulls in Campaign, as well as Kinect and 3D support. I was previously on the fence for getting Halo: Anniversary, but after watching this trailer, I can honestly say I'm 100% sold on this. The aforementioned were not the only improvements, now there is easier navigation through the Library. Many of you perhaps remember - as I did - getting lost hundreds of times while the flood eats your face. Read More...

Tribes: Ascend Closed Beta Is Just Around The Corner *UPDATE*
by Corey Dockendorf [ Monday, 10th of October 2011 - 06:02 PM ]
According to an interview with Todd Harris the COO of Hi-Rez Studios has announced a closed beta for Tribes: Ascend will begin November 4th! The confirmation came during an interview with Cyberlink. I got my hands-on with Tribes: Ascend at this year's Quakecon: 2011 and it is as close to the original that any game could get. Large 16 multiplayer maps, armor and weapon load outs and a disc-launcher that would make any FPS proud. The biggest hook is that this is team based combat and it really shows on these large maps. Cryptic Studios has just announced that it's highly acclaimed MMORPG Star Trek Online will be free-to-play before the end of this year. The game will also be downloadable and playable at no cost! "In addition to seeking out new life and exploring strange new civilizations, part of our continuing mission for Star Trek Online is to expand and improve," said Jack Emmert, CEO, Cryptic Studios. "Transitioning to a free-to-play model is a natural way to share all we've built with a broader community of players and we couldn't be more excited." So later this year we will see STO go free-to-play, with features that include customizing avatars, crews and ships just like normal and no limitations to the galaxy they wish to explore. Hear ye! Hear ye! Rapture is upon us and it closer than most of you might think. It wasn't back in May. Nor is it in October this year. I am prognosticating that it will be here in a matter of days. E3 2011 Impressions: BioShock Infinite
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of June 2011 - 05:34 PM ]
Hidden deep in the back of the 2K Games booth in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center, we were led into a room that looked like an old hunter's club room - Animal heads on the walls, old fashioned lamps lighting the room and filled wall to wall with plush leather couches. It was as close to an opening in reality to take a step into Columbia (where Bioshock Infinite takes place) as I could imagine without Elizabeth opening a tear and pulling us through. Before I get into the bulk of the game footage we were shown, which consisted mostly of sky rail combat, let me catch some of you up on the story that is the lead up as well as the background. This is for those just now finding interest in the game. Read More...

With some of the biggest names in the realm of high fantasy, and judging by the latest E3 trailer, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is not going to disappoint. Magic, rebirth, hack n' slash combat, this trailer does it all and for the first time we get a little background on the storyline. It's a really great look at the extensive world created by R.A. Salvatore and the team at 38 Studios. Read More...

Neverwinter's New E3 Trailer
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 8th of June 2011 - 12:30 PM ]
I haven't had much luck with Dungeons and Dragons games lately, but for some reason I am still really excited for Neverwinter. The last time I talked about Neverwinter was in August of last year. At that time, all we had was a place holder website and a few comments from Cryptic Studios. We finally get our first look at Dungeons and Dragons: Neverwinter at E3 this year, and I can say one thing for sure - it looks like Dungeons and Dragons. So there you have it, another Dungeons and Dragons title by Atari. I was a little more excited for this title before I played Daggerdale, but hopefully Cryptic Studios will not let this product fall by the wayside. Read More...
