Driveclub Was Delayed Again But Now We Have A Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Driveclub has been pushed back once again but now there is a solid date of October 7th. Yes, that means that Driveclub won't be coming to the PS4 here in early 2014 as stated before. Apparently the game just will not be ready until about the first anniversary of the next gen console's launch. Now the date is October 7th if you sit through and watch the gorgeous trailer that was released showing the new date in all of its kind of glory. Good news for all of you race fans or those who want to see how pretty a racing game can be on next gen. The following trailer does look nice and I had no doubt that Driveclub would but outside of being free for PS+ I don't think I'll be playing it more than a few times. Read More...

A Nightclub For The Social Gamer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of January 2011 - 05:29 PM ]
Ok, so this is either a genius idea or one of the worst ideas that is going to flop and just make a few people poorer. The idea being a nightclub tailored specifically for gamers. A Las Vegas nightclub at that too. All slated to open its doors to the public here in a few months allowing gamers and non-gamers the chance to drop their cash on everything expected at a nightclub and videogames. As I alluded, I am mixed on this idea. I'm going to tell you why. Read More...

Club Nintendo Rewards Announced
by Brian Bentley [ Friday, 2nd of July 2010 - 08:31 PM ]
It's that time again where Nintendo rewards its faithful for liberally stuffing their corporate pockets full of money and doing free market research for them. Yesterday Nintendo released their Elite Rewards for 2010 in an email to Club Nintendo participants. Club Nintendo is a customer reward program. You purchase Nintendo products, register them on the Club Nintendo site and then you fill out a "brief" survey to earn coins that may be redeemed for prizes. If it was a grocery store chain, you'd have a little card with a barcode hanging off your key ring. Read More...

Club Nintendo Announces Elite Reward Prizes
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 15th of July 2009 - 02:48 PM ]
Last year Nintendo started the Club Nintendo rewards program here in North America to much fanfare and approval. You sign up for Club Nintendo on their website and you are immediately in the program. As you purchase new games developed or published by Nintendo, you will find inserts that have a code listed. Input that code into your Club Nintendo account and after filling out a post-purchase survey, you earn points (normally 50 for a Wii game and 30 for a DS game). You can also earn points by purchasing select WiiWare titles, filling out more surveys and even placing your intent to purchase certain games. Read More...

Be The Overlad!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of March 2009 - 05:12 PM ]
FIRST OVERLORD™II GAMEPLAY VIDEO Evil is as Evil does, or something like that. With Codemasters' new Overlord game coming this Summer, it looks like they are going to give us all the chance to put that age old adage to the test. At least it looks that way from the new Game Developers vlog that Codemasters just placed out there, with some fun looking screen shots from the game. All of which are below. They are quick to point out that they don't think that the first game allowed for you to be as evil as many wanted to be in the game, so they added a new system to the game to make that available. Microsoft Opening XBL For Users To Create Own Games
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2008 - 10:46 PM ]
Think you have what it takes to build your own game for Xbox Live, and can do better than what is out there now?  Well now you can, as Microsoft has announced that XNA Game Studio software will be made available to gamers who yearn to create their own video games.  Micorsoft already had a trial run of the XNA Creators Club games earlier this year which featured "Little Gamers", "Culture", "Jellycar", "The Dishwasher" and others.  MS has plans to introduce the XBox Live Community Games this holiday season to XBL Marketplace. Microsoft unveiled in their plan that you will be able to have your games added to the XBL Marketplace, for a price of 200 to 800 points, after passing a peer review, as well as take home a cut of the total revenue the game makes, which MS claims to be up to 70% in a form of a quarterly check.
