New Year And New Things To Do In Dying Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of January 2015 - 03:00 PM ]
There is a New Year's trailer for Dying Light and we have a bit more gameplay and features shown off with it It's a new year and it is time for some new stuff for Dying Light. Well at least in a fun little way of New Year's resolutions and a bit of extra gameplay. We are now under a month from release of Dying Light so hopefully we are going to get something to add to the parkour zombie killing fun coming to our PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If we are to speculate on the following trailer we could be getting some simple little side games outside of the core. If the above image and the following trailer are to be believed for Dying Light then are we going to get some fishing action in the mix? Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of January 2015 - 01:00 PM ]
In an early copy of a Finnish magazine it has been confirmed that Kung Lao will be joining the roster of fighters for Mortal Kombat X Just like the Kano "leak" for Mortal Kombat X it looks like print media has given us a look at Kung Lao before the official announcement from NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. may have wanted. This magazine being a Finnish gaming magazine, Pelaaja, and thus translated by a Mortal Kombat fan site for us all. Read More...

This Is What The Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta Looks Like
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of December 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
New screenshots for the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta on the Xbox One have been placed online for those who are not in the beta yet If you are part of the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta then none of what you are about to see is going to be all that exciting. In fact you may want to move on as you have seen all of the footage live and in play already; hopefully. For everyone else then we have a bunch of new screenshots from 343 Industries to show everyone who has yet to pre-order Halo 5: Guardians or turned on the beta what they may be missing out on. Although it seems odd to think that anyone who would have access to the Halo 5: Guardians would not have been balls deep in it just yet… To be honest it looks just as we all would have thought Halo 5: Guardians to have looked. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of December 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was delayed but that doesn't mean we don't have a nice look at the steelbook covers coming for the game from CD Projekt RED We all may have to wait a bit longer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to finally come to our homes but that doesn't mean we won't have some pretty things to look at while we wait. In fact if you direct your gaze down below you will be able to see all of those variant Steelbook covers for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The fonts and the back and all of the fun that can be contained in something that will be set aside once we pop the game disc into the PS4, Xbox One, or PC. Read More...

Could Final Fantasy XV Have Online Components?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of December 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
Speculation over Final Fantasy XV having online game components have arisen based on a job posting from Square Enix So it may be a bit of a stretch but it looks like the latest in Final Fantasy XV speculation is that there will be some kind of online component for the game. This all comes from Anime News Network scrounging for anything based on a job posting from Square Enix directly. It is a contract job that sounds pretty much like someone who would be needed to keep the web based interactions, like the Facebook notifications, flowing but others have chosen to dig in deeper with a meaning that most likely will never see the light of day on the PS4 and Xbox One. If this isn't for just some kind of social aspect for Final Fantasy XV it could be looked at as something to do with DLC or micro-transactions of some sort. Read More...

Resident Evil Zero HD REmaster Could Be In The Pipes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of December 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
Capcom may have accidentally leaked that Resident Evil Zero HD REmaster is in the works via the pre-order bonus for Resident Evil HD REmaster update If the image is correct then it looks like Resident Evil Zero HD REmaster may be the next title in the works from Capcom getting the full HD upgrade. This of course comes from an update to the pre-order page for Resident Evil HD REmaster where the developer/publisher wanted to show off the cool theme you can get for your PS4 if you pre-order before the January 13th 2015 release date in Japan. Make that date January 20th and you'll have the NA release date for those who were wondering. Any-who, some eagle eyed people who don't work for Capcom in Japan caught a small glimpse on the theme image that wasn't supposed to be released into the wild. Read More...

Being Chicken In Metal Gear Solid V Can Be A Bonus In Disguise
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of December 2014 - 05:01 PM ]
Over the Christmas holiday it was announced that there will be a chicken hat addition to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to make the game easier for those having trouble If you are a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid and looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V then you were probably one of those people who sat around with Hideo Kojima on Christmas day while he opened presents, talked films, and then trolled everyone looking for a release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. To be fair, you all should have been having a good time with your families instead of watching someone who's culture doesn't celebrate the holiday do what he does best. That would be giving you just a little bit of something new so you don't loathe him but not really give you a thing you really want. Read More...

Not Everyone Will Be Summoning In Final Fantasy XV
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of December 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
New Final Fantasy XV screenshots and battle system details have emerged that explain that only Noctis will be able to use summons If reports are correct then the current state of the Final Fantasy XV will have it so only one of the party can call upon summons during battle. That character being Noctis and those reports coming out of an interview between Famitsu and game director Hajime Tabata. Of course this isn't too strange given the past of the Final Fantasy franchise as having only one character be able to summon isn't new. So there is not that when it comes to all things Final Fantasy XV when we look at the battle systems. Read More...

You Can Only Cross-Buy Resident Evil HD REmaster For A Short Time
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of December 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
If you want Resident Evil HD REmaster as a PS3/PS4 cross-buy you better act fast as there is a catch If you've been waffling over which system to pick up Resident Evil HD REmaster, the PS3 or PS4, then Capcom has something to help decide. If you pre-order the game right now you can get it for both systems for the price of just getting it once. Granted it makes sense that you would pick up Resident Evil HD REmaster on the PS4 due to the power that console adds but for those who may still be clinging to the PS3 or just got the PS4 upgrade for the holidays then you can get the game without worry of needing to re-purchase. Although that logic seems a bit flawed; whatever… Sadly this is only in the North American region for now so sorry to all those outside the region who wanted Resident Evil HD REmaster as a cross buy. You wanted to see those Elite skins for Evolve so 2K and Turtle Rock Studios have given you this little Christmas gift During Evolve's Big Alpha people wanted to have a better look at all of those elite skins as they didn't seem to stand out. At least that was one of the major complaints people had as I am told. For those people it looks like 2K and Turtle Rock Studios have a fun little Christmas gift for you. That would be a nice big look at those Evolve for the monsters rendered in a way for us all to have a better look at them. Read More...

The Interview Is Up On Xbox Video But Not Video Unlimitedâ¦Smart Move
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of December 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
You can now watch The Interview on Xbox Video and other services but not Sony's own video unlimited… yet… While not directly video game news, The Interview being placed on our gaming systems for streaming could lead to some gaming outages in the coming days. What I am talking about here is that Sony has decided to let the film stream on YouTube, Google Play, and Xbox Video as of this writing. There are plans to let it go to other platforms, including Video Unlimited on the PlayStation Network but those plans are supposedly coming shortly. This is either a stoke of marketing genius or nothing is going to happen but people seeing The Interview. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of December 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
Sunset Overdrive's Mystery of the Mooil Rig DLC is out today and just in time for us all to fight some tentacle monsters on our Xbox One's for Christmas If you didn't already have a huge backlog of titles or any new games to play over the coming days then let Sunset Overdrive add a bit more DLC to itself to keep you entertained. In fact, it is some of the first Story DLC to be added from Insomniac Games and it can be downloaded to your Xbox One as you are reading this text. Of course that does mean you also have to have Sunset Overdrive for the system already but that should be a given. Read More...

Karma Is A Bitch In The Latest Battlefield Hardline Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of December 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Battlefield Hardline has a new trailer and with that a whole slew of new gameplay to try and spin the game's core narrative into a positive light Looks like we have a new trailer for Battlefield Hardline from EA and Visceral Games to look at over the holiday week. Just like the story trailer we had earlier in the month it looks like this one also follows more of the narrative and to the un-savvy viewer it looks like it is trying to push more of the positive spin that the police force needs in these current times. Maybe it is just me but the words non-lethal and rescues seem to get placed more prominent than all of the violence that will be taking place in Battlefield Hardline when we get it. It's a good move in my opinion and I hope it does the job to distance the game from the real world events people are connecting them all to. Read More...

See How The Monsters Of Evolve Have Evolved
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of December 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
In the latest livestream for Evolve we get a good look at how all of the monsters have evolved in the game as well as a better look at the Wraith The third monster for Evolve has been revealed and we've seen a bit on the Wraith but now it is time to get the full look at her. Not only the Wraith but all of the monsters we will be playing in Evolve when it launches on February 10th next year have gone though some evolving just as the game's title states. Now we have a nice long look at the evolution as well as a lot of game play for the monster so we can be better prepared when the Evolve beta lands on top of the game proper. Good thing 2K and Turtle Rock have some spare time to spend doing all of this. Read More...
