Lollipop Chainsaw Has Some Crazy Threesome Action
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of April 2012 - 06:04 PM ]
While I am sure all of your minds went straight to some crazy ass sex scene for Lollipop Chainsaw, I am talking about the threesome that is the Starling Sisters. Ok, well that also didn't come out sounding right either and you all probably went somewhere very twisted and pornographic again. For shame. But what I am talking about here is that a trailer for the game was just released and it showcases how the three sisters will interact in the game. Well kind of shows how they will interact in the story but not game play. Read More...

PAX East Hands-On: Lollipop Chainsaw
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 9th of April 2012 - 12:36 PM ]
During PAX East I got to get some playtime with Lollipop Chainsaw and interviewed the legendary Suda 51. Lollipop Chainsaw had some very smooth and tight controls, chaining attacks between kicking and swinging the chainsaw was simple enough to button mash if you wish, but at the same time complex enough to satisfy those who frown upon the mashing of buttons. The demo started off in a farm-like area, where some good ol' zombies popped up and begged for me to slay them (not really, but I could tell they were asking for it). Every time zombies pop up there is a counter on-screen that tells you exactly how many are there and need to kill. Read More...

Add Another Title To The PS Vita's List, Mortal Kombat
by Fred Buell [ Friday, 20th of January 2012 - 02:50 PM ]
As if this wasn't to be expected right and why not? The most recent Mortal Kombat was a great revitalization to the franchise so it would be a great idea to port it over to Sony's new portable device. Let's just hope that it isn't just a search to milk more money out of our wallets. Let's see what was also announced with this. All Of The PS3 Content - This includes all of the DLC that has come out as well as Kratos. From the classic costumes to Freddy. Read More...

Batman Is A Swinger In Arkham City
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of October 2011 - 02:58 PM ]
If you are in here reading this now, you are either a fan of Batman: Arkham City and want to see new screen shots or you are one of those people who get off to comic book porn. I'll let you sort that out for yourself there. If you fell into the first category, then do we have some good news for you. There are some new screen shots below for B: AC so you can celebrate and pine over the new views of the game. Including some really nice in-game shots of Batman getting ready to take to 'flight' using his grappling hook/gun. Read More...

You've Got To Be Kidding Me. New Mortal Kombat Film In The Works
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 3rd of October 2011 - 11:48 AM ]
Please gods don't let there be another video game film craze coming again. Earlier this week we found out Dead Island has been optioned for a featured film. Now, Mortal Kombat is getting the same treatment. Yes, another Mortal Kombat film is in the works. Although it has potential to be really good but only if things work out as alluded to. Apparently things went way better for the Web Series that was directed by Kevin Tancharoen than Warner Bros. expected. Read More...

Batman Getting The Cold Shoulder In Arkham City
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of August 2011 - 09:17 AM ]
Here we go with yet another villain shown for Batman: Arkham City - Mr. Freeze. If you look below, you'll see the nice, shiny new trailer for this latest reveal. At first glance, it really just seems like another step to stop Bats from getting things under control. That is, until he begins to meander around like a smaller, frozen Big Daddy. It does look like Freeze will be adding a few new environmental challenges for Batman from the video. Most notably would have to be the freezing of ledges. Read More...

Mortal Kombat No Longer The Dream You Want
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of July 2011 - 06:26 PM ]
So this threw me for kind of a loop at Comic Con. The fourth, and possibly final, DLC character announced for Mortal Kombat is Freddy Krueger. Not the rumored Green Lantern or some other comic super hero but the master of nightmares. Not to mention the most recent incarnation of him with a few tweaks to make him a realistic fighter for the game. That means that they needed to glove each hand instead of just the one. Below you can view the new game play trailer for Mr. Read More...

Waterworks In The New Mortal Kombat DLC
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 18th of July 2011 - 11:55 AM ]
The guys over at NetherRealm Studios have released a few trailers for their newest Mortal Kombat DLC character Rain. The trailers show off some of his back story, which is quite nice. Seems that after being orphaned from Shao-Khan's merciless army, the resistance adopted him and made him into a very powerful but arrogant warrior. After being denied a command position in the resistance he betrayed them and joined his mortal enemy, Shao-Khan. The trailers also shows off some very brutal combos and attacks that we can expect to dish out and sorely take to the face a couple dozen times. Read More...

Batman Really Taking On Jigsaw In Arkham City Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of July 2011 - 06:30 PM ]
I do love the new direction that RockSteady has taken The Riddler, my second favorite villain, but I can't seem to look past the close similarities in the characters. They are both geniuses. They both like putting people in death traps. They both have a specific tone and method to their speaking. I guess the only real difference is that the new Riddler does it to prove to the world that he really is the smartest person alive. Anyways, if you haven't picked up on it yet, or skipped to the video, there is a new clip showcasing some of the personality behind The Riddle of Batman: Arkham City. There are no spoilers at all, unless the few words and phrases said would somehow ruin the experience, so don't worry about that. Read More...

Batman: Arkham City Just Got Sexier
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 7th of June 2011 - 02:51 AM ]
So it looks like the rumor about NOT being able to play as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City is now busted. Submitted for your consumption, I give you a look at a bit of the game play as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City. Straight from the horse's mouth, A.K.A. Rocksteady, to our eyes. Yes, I know that doesn't make visual sense, but just go with it. It doesn't show any form of Co-Op which leads me to believe that she is either going to have a small portion of the game set up like The Joker did in Arkham Asylum. It may be some extra missions, after game missions added to the game, or it could be similar but added into the main story arc of the game. Read More...

Klassic Skins And Skarlet DLC Coming Soon To Mortal Kombat
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 31st of May 2011 - 05:03 PM ]
So that didn't take long at all. A little under two months out from launch and we are getting all those pretty pre-order exclusives for Mortal Kombat hitting the open market. I get that those who pre-ordered the game at a specific location have had access to whichever klassic character skin and fatality from day one, but do you feel any kind of special for being that big of a fan? I know I'd feel a little cheated as the proof of my fandom is now being given out to anyone who wants it now. The collection consists of seven pre-order klassic character skins (Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, Mileena, Jade and Kitana) and klassic fatalities (Reptile, Scorpion and Sub-Zero). Read More...

Batman Takes On FPS In Gotham City Impostors
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of May 2011 - 01:27 PM ]
Here is where that pesky Batman: Arkham City multiplayer rumor got its foundation, well at least that is what I speculate. It looks like just before we get the new Arkham game we are getting Gotham City Imposters. Sounds like a weird Batman tribute white rapper band, but it is a new FPS from Monolith Productions and Warner Bros. Interactive. Wait a second. Read More...

Review: Mortal Kombat
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of May 2011 - 02:08 PM ]
Once again the forces of Outworld are attempting to invade Earthrealm, an invasion that will lead to the enslavement or death of every living soul on Earth. That is if Raiden, God of Thunder, and a handful of fighters fail to fight for our right to live and kill each other on our own terms in Mortal Kombat. A tournament that uses the term "mortal" extremely loosely. Besides the main story of this fighting game, there are many other modes for players to enjoy. Read More...

Let's Get Teased! Mortal Kombat: Legacy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of April 2011 - 06:43 PM ]
The time is almost here. The time for that awesome live action Mortal Kombat web show to hit the net. Obviously that also means that it is time to tease it a little bit before. Here is said tease. Ok, so nothing as awesome as the first short, but I am sure it will fit in well somehow. I mean with the huge splash that the first video made it would be ludicrous to try to slop out some crap afterwards. At least it is a look at Kano and Jax, although we got a basic look already of Jax. Read More...

Green Lantern: Rise Of The Manhunters, Potentially Good Or Flop?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of April 2011 - 02:27 PM ]
Recently I had a conversation with a few people on movie tie-in games and if they could ever be any good. As was to be expected, the conclusion was generally not likely. There have been so many crappy movie tie-in games put out there, most of which to suck more money out of the consumer. But every now and then there are a few that are not just utter crap. For me, they are usually the games that are not rushed to meet a film's release date and TRULY expand on the overall story of the film. To put it short so I can move onto the Green Lantern stuff, I've only really enjoyed the games for the Saw franchise. Read More...
